With all due respect to Bill, I have to disagree on a few things.

Trade Crosby and Malkin to Edmonton for Eberle, Hall, RNH, Yakupov, Ganger, Klefbom and this years 1st rounder. Get rid of those clowns, and I wanna see Cloutier have a blogging aneurism.

I have a mix of BPA forwards interspersed within the defensemen I would like them to target...my latest list looks something like this:

Not going to happen:

Drouin
MacKinnon
Jones
Barkov
------------

Would have to take as BPA if they fell:

Nichushkin
Lindholm
Monahan
-------------

The kill zone (one or more of these guys should be there at #11)..in order my preference would be:
------------
Pulock
Nurse
Zadorov
Shinkaruk
Morrissey

------------

Trade down scenario/2nd rd hopefuls:
Ristolainen
Horvat
Shea Theodore
Samuel Morin
Hagg

- exlund

Pulock out of everyone you listed that should be there at 11, and I wouldn't be surprised is Rasmus or BoHo were selected around 11

He listed 12 guys, so at least two of them will be there at 11. One will very likely be Josh Morrissey.

Most draftniks will tell you that outside of the top 4 or 5, it's kind of a crapshoot and hard to do a mock, because of the quality of the top 30 or so prospects.

Odds are that a few of the guys picked 20-30 will go on to be better then a few of the guys selected 6-20.... and that just goes to show how deep this draft really could be.

Nice list. Great job!

If Nichuskin is there, I'd take him and look to trade one of Schenn or Couturier for a deal that makes sense.

If it's Lindholm or Monahan, I'd first listen to offers for a draft/trade scenario, either picks or maybe a top d prospect like Reinhart, Rielly or Murray.

Just think Nichuskins ceiling is higher so I'd take a risk. Lindholm and Monahan will be very good players but I'm fine with Schenn/Couturier instead.

Remember that Kimmo's retirement clears up 6 mil next offseason. If they can trade pronger to a team wanting to reach the floor (Maybe agree to pay all of his salary this year), buyout Briere and Bryz, and don't resign Mez, they'll have cleared up around $25 mil in cap space. After resigning Gus and some other young guys this offseason, as well as signing a cheap alternative to Bryz (Or trading for Bernier) we should have more than enough to resign G, BS, Coots, Read (Granting he's not in LA), and still have enough to go hard after the big fish UFA next offseason (Letang). I'm personally not as worried about cap as some people seem to be.

You can't agree to pay all of his salary. Only up to 50%.

If you think back to the Gagne/Walker trade, the Flyers basically paid out the same in salary, but instead of a 1 year hit spread Walkers salary over two years. I think that is the way to make a viable trade for Pronger. Pronger's salary is only 12 million, but his cap hit is 5 million for next 4 years.

For example,

1. Winnipeg: Pronger + 6 million cash + 2nd tier prospects or picks
Flyers: Byfuglien

Cap hits are about the same, so Winnipeg gets cash + asset and keeps the cap hit for 1 more year. Flyers get a player who contributes for a lesser prospect.

2. Phoenix: Pronger + Laugton/Read+ (other picks/players) + 6 million
Flyers: Yandle

Phoenix keeps the cap hit, and for an extra year, and gets short term cash flow. Flyers get Yandle without giving up Schenn/Couts.

Other potentials would be Wisniewski (tho that's a long cap hit for Flyers), Campbell, etc.

I don't think they would do this, more so out of respect for Pronger. Preferably it would be a player with a contract that ends next year. But I'd explore the options.

True. Would be easier to use the 10% offseason allowance and then LTIR him when the season rolls around.

I was thinking the same thing actually. Thanks for clearing that up.

Also, anyone know in the NHL series will ever incorporate the NCAA? Gostisbehere, Trouba, and Gaudreau aren't available in NHL 13.

None of that stuff is needed. All you have to do is watch the player play. It's clear he is a special player. Not going to be a superstar by any means. But he's a player you just win with. And doesn't need to record a single point in the game to be the best forward on the ice.

You cannot trade cash to a team. The only thing a team can do is retain part of a players salary in a trade. Up to 50%.
And the Flyers did not spread Walker's salary over two years. That is not possible.

Chicago wins the 5th set tie break 22-20 with Michael Jordan kicking the game-winning field goal with 3 seconds go go in the bottom of the 10th on the 7th playoff hole.

Don't see that happening anytime soon. Some of the guys you mentioned will be in the AHL soon enough though. You can always create players too. I really wish they'd add a roster and player vault though.

or you could just do what the other college sports games do and just use their # and likeness.. and then allow you to download their names.

I think that's where they keep teams during the offseason, in order to avoid damage/injury. It's in the new CBA.

I'd love to see some sort of AI incorporated to try to pronounce Gostisbehere.

It's a online option (they use it in MLB: The Show) where users can upload rosters/players they created for everyone else to download and use. It is awesome for prospects, especially in baseball, since the guys in the game are only the ones who have played a game in the Bigs the prior season (i.e. Puig is not in this year's game, Harper was not in last years game; until roster updates that is). Some people put together every single player in all 30 organizations.
