For many years Warrior’s most popular curve was called the Draper, after long-time Red Wing Chris Draper. The Draper, as it happens, wasn’t the curve favoured by Draper; he commissioned a mould based off a curve favoured by Chicago Blackhawks captain Jonathan Toews.

The Draper sold in retail stores was a standard middle-of-the-blade bend, not too extreme, not too straight — Easton’s version of a similar bend was long known as the Sakic, after Joe Sakic. The Draper continues to endure, only recently it’s been renamed the Kopitar, after L.A. Kings forward Anze Kopitar. It can get confusing.

The Sakic curve was the exact same for like 20 years, and then Easton changed it. It had much more of an open toe curve - I didn't like the new one.

I currently have the "Hall" curve from Easton and the "Kopitar" from Warrior - not quite the same as the old Sakic, but close enough.

I just bought a Reebok one piece and asked the Kid for the Sakic curve. And, he said, who is Sakic....lol.

I found the new ones way too light. Couldn't control a pass or a shot.

I had the Joe Sakic blade buddy Light curve, designed for quick wrist shots and backhands...couldn't slap to save my life...didn't help that I suck at hockey outside of skating like a maniac and led the league I was in in blocks 3 years running!

Runner up: red and black Easton Cyclone - aluminum shaft. With a Shanahan blade.

nah keep JVR hes a good fit on this team. if that trade were gonna happen id want to swap JVR for our first + a prospect or somethng along those lines, but i honestly doubt the leafs trade phaneuf i see him being re-signed long term.
