Leafs and Oilers kind of need the same things, when you think about it. but there could be a fit with Phaneuf. as overrated as i think Phaneuf is, i think he'd be a good fit in Edmonton as kind of a "first pairing" guy as opposed to the undisputed no. 1/captain. Oilers have some decent D prospects and maybe the Leafs could pick up 1 or two of them, add another piece to the Rielly/Gardiner D foundation. it would likely hurt the Leafs for next season but long run i think it would help both teams.
