You can never have enough prospects. People pencil in guys (myself included ) in the lineup before they ever play a game. Half of them will not turn out. See Luke Adam, 1 years ago we were convinced he was a top 6 player
- sbroads24

I know, I was on that train for sure. I thought Adam was the real deal. Same with Kassian when we still had him.

Oh I know.. I do it with Armia all the time....

I really have high hopes for a...

Armia - Grigo - Ott line this year...

It is just.. who is on the top line with CoHo.. is if Vanek and a mystery RW'er or is it two new wingers?

- JVince11

A deal is secretly in the works to acquire Kane. Ssshh, don't tell Garf though.

It's how the NHL works. Foligno a mid round pick as of right now is better than Kassian a first rounder. For all we know Catenacci will be better than Armia. Having great prospect depth is key to success

I really do think that Garth gets his ideas for new blogs by reading through what we are posting... if we talk about Stastny.. he writes an article about stastny.. if we talk about trading with Pitt... he talks about trading with PItt.

Vanek makes 7.142M... nice job of listing his salary and not his actual cap hit to make your agrument look better..

You are basing it on what Vanek had been able to do when he was younger.. but yet in the playoffs against Boston.. he was hurt.. when we needed him down the stretch this season.. he was hurt...

He is past his mark.. you are living on what he DID... not what he CAN do going forward.

You don't think the entire EDM team has Questions marks??

They are comprised of like 7 top 5 draft picks and they are still one of the worst teams in hockey...

that looks really bad... I think like 4 of them were 1st overall too.

I admit that he's very good when it comes to keeping his composure and not feeding the commenters since we tend to trash him a lot. That's a valuable skill on the internet that even many other bloggers here don't yet have.

That or he just doesn't care in the slightest what people say about his blogs... good or bad. In fact that's most likely the case.

the skill of the players is not a question. the leadership, coaching, and other aspects is what is the problem.

All of these players with the exception of Eric Staal would struggle being the only "star player" on their respective teams. Your misunderstanding what people are saying too. Vanek is a really good player. If you think he's a superstar than you need to put the kool-aide away. You just used Nathan Horton as a comparison to Vanek, that alone says a lot

Nuge, Hall, Yakupov, Eberle, and Schultz?

I would expect more out of them 5 not to just fall off and not give a sh!t if their team or season isn't goin the way they planned. That is dedication and leadership failures.
