So Gonchar is worth $5mil, that means Letang is worth $7 min....Letang and Malkin will not both be Pens after next season. Is Staal brings a 1st, prospect, and decent roster player....Letang's return coiuld be huge....

Staal never looked like a pig right before the trade. Staal was coming off a strong series against Philly, one of few pens who could say that.

And Carolina knew they could extend him.

A similar type deal for Letang would have to be done a few days before the draft (our permission granted to talk).

A team isn't giving up the farm for one season of him.

One thing about Letang is that he had some bad spots in the playoffs, but had obviously a Norris finalist season and still put up points in the playoffs. There are a lot of GM's that will chalk it up to a bad stretch, or attribute it to the Pens struggling as a team in the last round.

He's still a young puck moving, all star, Norris finalist, Cup winning defenseman. Many teams need those.

I'm blown away that Sarge got 10 mil from Dallas. It's almost like they didn't watch the Pens/Sens series at all. He is just frightening defensively.

I don't think his playoff performance has damaged his value all that much. I'm still not sold that they should consider trading him unless they really can't pay him. I also don't think anybody can argue that he hasn't been a significant catalyst for this team the last few years.

Lol, it'd be just Letang for Kane straight up. I actually think the pens would have to throw in a little extra

I wish he had a second year left. I'm not sold on him for a longterm $6+ mil a year contract. But there is no denying that he's a special talent. Who knows what another head coach could do. If he'd cut his bonehead plays even in half, I'd like him to stay.

Sarge not worth 5mil, no way. Dallas GM on some real good weed, pretty obvious.

probably cant afford Hainsey, even for one year.

would love Bogo, and I know he isn't fabulous, but I doubt the jets trade him.

do love kane though. good type of guy to have.

would anyone consider a letang for subban swap?

- SuperHenderson13

A fine deal for both franchises would be Price/Subban for Fleury/Letang. What do you guys think?

Whoops not just yet...

The NHL is a joke. Thank God the Hawks didn't win on that goal.

Disco wouldn't have trusted him. He'd still be playing in the AHL.

If Saad scores in OT...and he's had some good chances...you can bet Shero won't ever forget.
