LA was nowhere near Boston defensively...I see Boston giving them fits.
- Orpik44

Quick is better than Rask. However, I agree.

Chicago is smarter than Pittsburgh and Q-ville makes the adjustments needed. I think Crawford is also playing over his head. We will see. Rooting for Chicago in five assuming they don't choke against LA

Has a #1 seed ever been swept in the ECF? Just wondering. I would like more salt poured in the wound.

Too many words to describe what I'm feeling right now.

This will one hell of an offseason. Accountability must be made.

How does Bernier help? He is hardly NHL battle proof. Fasth? He isn't getting dealt. Hiller probably is. Harding has MS. Great story but that is an easy pass.
- Oneonta Penguin

The reason you do so is so you can split berniers time with vokoun and build him up through the year til he can take the top job. Bernier has been great when he gets in its just he doesnt have the opportunity in la. With no maf and sharing time with vokoun hed have a chance to shine

Fairly well deserved for vetoing a trade that would have been better for the flames
- Yeti1181

Again, Pittsburgh was running away with the East ... had a 10-game winning streak and had won both games against the Bruins at the time. Not too hard of a choice at the time considering Boston was behind an average Montreal team in the standings. Can't hold it against him for vetoing it.

Well... After the 0-2 start, I said Pens in 7 or B's in 4. Hopefully getting swept leads to necessary changes. A coach can't take this roster and poop the bed 2 years in a row and keep his job.

The Pens lost this series on the PP. Not one relevant change was made.....disgusting.

I think Carlyle and Therrien proved that you beat the Bruins by out-coaching them. Start getting in their heads for a change.

Bylsma is a mental midget compared to the true pros. The fact that he always gets Jack Adams consideration is laughable.

He is playing over his head. If he played like he did in the regular season, this is a series. He has never played like this before - ever.
- Oneonta Penguin

ok chief, whatever helps you sleep at night, I can't tell you how many times this year he's allowed two or less goals. Bruins had trouble scoring in the regular season, if they could have scored more they'd have won the conference.

This series reminds me of one famous adage in all sports. Defense wins championships. We had all the firepower any team could want and it got us nowhere when it came down to it. Rask played out of his mind and the team commitment to defense by the Bruins was amazing. Ive never seen a team stifle another team to short rushes and outside shots for an entire series like this. No sustained pressure and no rebounds we could control. Hats off to the Bruins, they were the better team.

Bylsma should have and could have adjusted but didn't. And ultimately I think that's why he's not back next year.

- thickman1178

I would not firing Danand also trading Letang. I might keep Letang if we can get another defensive defenseman, but Dan? No way!!!!!!!!

Fair enough but Pitts seems to have a rough times come playoffs since they won the cup. There will def be changes this off season

boys, it is what it is.

bruins were the team of destiny. given the tragedy in boston this year, the comeback in game 7, and now this... the bruins were that team that got the breaks. good teams get the breaks, penguins were not a good team this series. they relied on nothing but firepower to get through the islanders and senators. not going to happen against a team like this.

it was an eventful year. good moments and bad moments.

if shero doesn't fire bylsma, doesn't make the changes needed, I cant say ill be back here next year. Ill find a young team with heart who wants to win. not a team full of pampered babies who expect anything to be handed to them.

it's been fun gentlemen. I have a feeling the fun starts at the draft for us.

- SuperHenderson13

I hear you Henderson....I feel embarassed right now.

I'd even move away from NEAL, really. Some guys have to go. We need new blood.

The draft should be fun.

loungo is an interesting guy. great heart, wants to win, understands what he is.

his cap sucks.

I would love AV to come coach... anyone know the relationship between the two of them? would that play into it?

Hawks in four. They would have mercy ruled us in three lol. Now that were out I can fully admit I was only hoping to get to the finals. Never thought anyone in the east had a chance of beating the winner of the west. Bylsma can look at 14-87-9 on his wall at home. Having a eternal hard on for that line just cost him his job.

I always liked lou. Love his attitude. Always thought he was dealt a tough hand after losing to the broons in in the finals that year. The guy has played tight and did so this year too. Came up big but like the pens the canucks couldnt score...

Cant wait for bylsmas presser..... Mark wahlberg walks in with baggies on his feet and just shoots him in the head... Departed style. Thanks for playing

Honestly credit to the broons. They deserved the series in every way. They out hustled, out played, out smarted and just stifled the pens at every turn.

He has earned the right. Remember, you had some guy named Sundin that did some bullpoop, right? I think he earned the right to pull some of his stunts with management.

I wouldn't mind AV. Pass on Luongo. We rip Fleury for his play-off performances. Luongo is an older Fleury when it comes to this. Choke city. Just see the Cup a few years ago against Boston. He sucked.

He never waived it for anybody and never gave any indication he would.

Iggy said they could trade him to Boston. They traded him to Boston. He said no after having a little chat with his buddy, Sidney (which is a violation of the CBA, by the way).

Most people will rightly see this as sweet comeuppance for him.

Stuck tap to the Bruins and especially to Seidenberg who kept the game for you guys. If not for his stick we are in OT in a couple minutes.

Penguins, I'm still proud of this team and their season. Plenty of guys made ridiculous changes to their games from last year. I can't wait to see what's going to happen with this team going forward.

Lastly, this year has been every emotion at once with you guys. I'm glad to be a part of such a fun group of hockey fans. Always great talking with every one of you.

def. see that side of the argument. a change would do him some good, just not sure it's here.

AV or Tocchet... would love Billy G to get the assistant coach job.

Hey John at least you can go to sleep knowing the penguins were the better team. The bruins have just played better in these games
