Meh. They replaced her by another one, and killed her. Given how GRRM knows what's going on with the show, it simply means that Jeyne just won't have any impact later.

It's like replacing Willas Tyrell by giving his part to Loras.

If Letang wants 6.5+ it'll be too hard to keep him. I've heard of trading Kunitz or Neal as options to free cap space, but that doesn't make sense: (Kunitz) only has 1 more year on contract, Neal: Too young and $5mil is a bargain for his skill...especially since PITT has very few wingers with offensive capabilities that he does.

Of course, teams will be lining up to trade for Letang, so the return would be enormous...the pens D is pretty solid wrt future prospects too. Just a couple of stabs in the dark here, but I think the net gain could be better for PITT...

TBY: 3rd overall + 3rd rnd + Vasilevskiy + 1st round next year if he signs an extension <-> Letang
Pens then grab Nichushkin or Jones or Drouin

FLA: 2nd overall + Nick Bjugstad + 1st in 2014 round if resigned <-> Letang

EDM: 7th overall + Hartikainen + 1st next year (unconditional) + 1st in 2015 if resigned <-> Letang

CGY: Glencross + 22 + 29 this year + 1st next year if resigned <-> Letang + another lower-mid D prospect

VAN: Edler + Kassian + 1st 2014 if resigned <-> Letang + mid-level prospect
** Letang would be HUGE in VAN

CLB: Foligno + J Johnson + 27 + 1st next year if resigned <-> Letang + mid-level prospect

That Columbus one is poop in value compared to the other ones he's proposing, a 3rd liner, the most overrated dman in the NHL a late first and maybe another probably mid-level first.

Indeed.

That conditional 1st if he resigns is poop.

No team will pay that if it gets one complete season from the player.

Some speak very highly of Tretiak, others not so much.

Tretiak was great in the MHL, saw him 3 times. Big, really mobile and plays like Quick just makes the saves. Lets ins some real stinkers though when he's half on his stomach sprawling. Reason people don't think highly of him is he got shelled in the U17's. Though the other goalie didn't fare much better and that Russian defense was pathetic.
