they are a train wreck. how Kevin Lowe is still calling the shots there is beyond comprehension, let alone bringing Craig MacTavish back. - DoubleDown
As I said the other day, I can't believe the fans pay good money to watch that team and it's failures since their trip to the SCF.
And Kevin Lowe, well he must have something really good on Katz to still have a job. |

there's one team that could really benefit from having an experienced coach with a track record (who isn't 70 years old...cough-cough Pat Quinn...).
Is there anyone like that available?!?! hmmm Vigneault...even Tortorella (whom I despise)...but no...they go for another coach who'll be learning the ropes coaching a bunch of kids who are also jut learning the ropes...it might even be comical.
EDIT: Forgot Ruff...unless he already got hired elsewhere... - TouenneTiiTree
i think Torts would have been an outstanding on-ice fit in Edmonton. guys like Richards, Lecavalier, Boyle took huge strides under him when they were younger. but Torts in Canada... i think he's smart enough to stay the hell out of this country. |

I know I don't like him...and why...but there's a reason why ALL of Canada doesn't like him??? (serious question...I can guess it's something about olympic hockey or previous declarations...but I'm not fully aware of this...)

The team needs a coach that is good at developing young kids, and their first thought is to look at the toronto organization for a coach... |

i like him a lot actually. he's obviously a good coach given how competitive his teams have been. i like his personality for the most part. i think it's more the Canadian media that hates him than hockey fans. and really the media in general. they love to push his buttons and try to get him to snap and when he does, they villify him. |

i read yesterday that the Marlie job is the 31st-best coaching job in hockey (this was, shockingly, a Toronto-based publication) |
