Not sure what that has to do with the revenue streams of foreign prostitution rings.

You feel it's okay that one team can try and force another team into giving them a star player, because they are in better shape financially? And here's how it is Philly's problem. Do you want the Cap to go up or down? So the Flyers can spend more money on players? Well the better the League as a whole does financially, the higher the Cap will go. The reason the Cap is going down to 64.3M is because team's like Nashville are struggling. So let's pile on and bury them some more. It has an effect across the entire League.

Nashville opened Pandoras Box by the negotiations tactics they employed with Weber prior to Weber reaching RFA status....as for the rest of your post, I cant address it, Im at work and I know it wouldnt be a short discussion.

You are correct. Nashville deserves some blame for letting Weber get to the Off Season as an RFA. But we also don't know the full story. Maybe Nashville was making fair offers, and Weber was balking. Feel free to continue later.

Counterpoint: Several pages discussing 18 year old kids most of us know from YouTube clips and subjective scouting reports isn't much more compelling.

my issue with Carter was (and likely still would be if he was still a Flyer) that he's too inconsistent in his overall game. Yes, he's a streaky scorer, and that's ok. I can live with that. But what frustrated me so often was that he went for long stretches of time where he just didn't seem engaged in the game. He'd overskate a puck and just glide around in a circle instead of stopping/starting and trying to retrieve the puck. Or he'd glide around the net after a shot attempt instead of stopping in front and digging for a rebound. Drove me crazy.

Guy has world class talent for sure, and if he played every game the way he's played the last two games for the Kings he'd be a force. But he doesn't. Or at least he didn't when he was here. If you look solely at his numbers, it's hard to complain about him. But when I watched him play night in/night out, I frequently felt he could/should be doing more than he was. So frustrating to have a guy on your team with that kind of talent that you always feel could/should be doing more.

No denying that he's in beast mode now with the Kings. Just wish he had played that way more often for the Flyers. If he had, he'd likely still be here.

Not only does Nashville hold some blame but so do weber and his agents, and probably the nhlpa too.

This.
Exactly.
I sum this up as lazy. - which is a gross oversimplification but either way I didn't ENJOY watching him play. He made me angry and who wants that!?!
I'm glad he's doing well someplace else.
Don't wish him ill, just glad I don't have to see him play night in and out...

no, he never actually played for us, though he did dress for 56 games and he hung out between the blue lines a bit.

What if the heads of corporations, who make high salaries, all wore caps in an attempt to look more like the "common man" to share in the small middle class activities like shopping at the local fruit market ?

why are you still female doging....no one forced weber to sign anything. Flyers put up a offersheet and he chose to sign it.
