Here's the story:

Mike Richards and Lupul were at some party and ended up driving around with these 2 broads. They go back to the party and Richards and this girl go upstairs.

Lupul, on seeing this, tries to follow Richards' lead, but the girl says no. Lupul gets all pissed off and screams at her, "DON'T YOU KNOW WHO I AM!?"

The NHL could handle it better, or have been more careful in expanding to begin with. But that doesn't make this a simple Darwinian scenario. There's a lot more to it than just, "Ok, we don't want hockey here anymore. Pack everything up and get the trucks, Bill."

I don't agree, but the Barrys and Cloutiers of this site are pretty crappy. Levine, Cordell, Yost and others are aight though.

Also, I've got 2 gems about Pat Burrell, including his requirements to attend a prom and what Chase Utley called the best part of the 2008 season. Not sure I can post them on here though.

I know this is a rumor blog (at it's core), but would love to see Eklund find someone to write advanced stats type of pieces.....both, showing where advanced stats work and where they don't or how they come up short. Maybe there are other sites that already do that already, but I think it would beef up his offerings here (JMO).
