I'd do that, if there was was a bit of prospects/picks going each way as well
I mean if I were the Canucks GM, doubt Snow would consider it. - 1970vintage

Why not your other twins prospects Pathrik and Ponthus Westerholm? - SPIDEROCKSTAR
Pathrik was not signed prior to the June 1st deadline, goes back into the draft, his brother was never drafted, came to a tryout and was never offered a contract. |

I'd be happy with Brock Nelson and a second round pick, I don't think the Islanders would have and issue with that? - LeftCoaster

Elliotte Friedman @FriedgeHNIC
Blackhawks have now won 6 of 7. Held LA to 2 shots in third period.
This is exactly what drives me nuts about the modern playoffs. There's nothing remotely exciting about watching a team play stifling defense. Credit to the Hawks D with Keith but that is just an atrocious stat for hockey. |

I didn't watch, other than the last 2 min, was it really so boring? |

We need a third line center, he's a first round pick, he's a center, he's 6'3" 205lbs, he's young (22 in Oct), he's played a full year in the AHL GP66 G25 A27 Pts52. I just like him for that position, Western Conference new division next year. |

No idea. I stopped watching the playoffs ages ago. I do know the Kings were down a goal for most of the 3rd so to generate that little going forward can't be exciting. |

No way any of the big 4 (Crosby, Stamkos, Ovechkin, Tavares) ever get traded. Forget stats and the hockey part of it, they're so identifiable with their teams that it would take something like how Gretzky was traded to happen. You don't trade generational or potential generational talents unless you're so cash-strapped that keeping them would sink the franchise and besides, by trading them, you're killing the franchise anyway by getting rid of your main ticket seller.
EDIT: And in the case of Pittsburg, they literally had to sell the franchise to Mario Lemieux so that he could finally get paid off for what they still owed him on his contract and actually at one point had a lawsuit against the previous owners for the breach of contract if I recall the events correctly. |

I think the Pens might look to shake things up a bit if they get dumped out of the playoffs in 4 or 5 games. That said, they need scoring and can't seem to get it from a team top-heavy with offensive juggernauts. Maybe a coaching change is required. Definitely upgrades at the back-end. |

He's a RW'er, we need a natural center. That said, I'd love to have him too!! |

You must not be a fan of Gillis' drafting then. |

You know, this is always underrated it seems. It dictates possession, which is important at even strength but critical on special teams. |

They might trade Malkin, because he's UFA in a year and probably going to want a deal similar to Ovechkin/Crosby. I think they need more of an upgrade in goal then defense, maybe sign Smith and trade MAF.

Credit to Boston and Rask. This wasn't an issue for 2 rounds. |

All due respect to NYI and OTT but that was literally the easiest first 2 rounds any of the remaining 4 teams had, and the easiest they could have devised if they asked for it. |
