The hockey world. He'll be 22 in August, which is still young. I personally think much of the hype has to do with his draft position. If I'm trading Kesler for Schenn I want picks involved.

Fair enough.

Just a hunch, but I think Kesler would gladly accept a trade to Philly. Send him there for Brayden Schenn. Trade Schneider to the NYI for Brock Nelson. Trade Eddie to St. Louis for Shattenkirk.

Why would they trade Edler for a downgrade on D?

Might as well trade him for a goalie, since the Canucks will be without one if they trade Schneider...and are apparently only getting a prospect in return...

Sorry LC, those trades make the Canucks considerably worse, maybe even when those prospects peak...

Kesler is definitely > than B. Schenn. But that kid has skill and grit, not sure who you mean is over-rating him? He has so much potential, he's also ahead of where Kesler was as a 21 year old.

I guess I find it odd that established players in the league have much more respect for him than his fans.

The guy can still play! If Detroit can win a Cup with Osgood we can win a Cup with Lu. Schneider brings the biggest return, it makes the most sense to trade him.

Islanders would give up some good young assets for Schneider!!! Brock Nelson would slot in nicely as our 3rd line center.

Totally agree.

Also, how is it that Bob Cole still has a job with CBC?

He'd of course get a better return than Luongo but we\re not likely to get his true value in return this summer given the amount of goalies apparently on the market.

I'd do that, if there was was a bit of prospects/picks going each way as well

I mean if I were the Canucks GM, doubt Snow would consider it.

I'd be happy with Brock Nelson and a second round pick, I don't think the Islanders would have and issue with that?

I think he meant there was no way that trade would ever happen. Because there just isn't.
