I absolutely agree that Enroth deserves a shot.. but we have seen what happens to his game when he is asked to start a lot of games. He is not an every night nor a 60+ start kind of guy. He need someone to play tandem with him.. - JVince11

Hackett - Pierceme69
I'm all for an Enroth/Hackett tandem.
Both kids deserve the chance. |

That's why we have Hackett. He has shown he belongs in the NHL when given the chance. - Powerslave
You really think that Hackett belongs in the NHL... next season? I think he needs to play in the AHL for part of next year.. but I am not claiming to be an expert.. |

100% agree, which is why any trade of Miller does not involve bringing a goaltender back unless there is another move planned. |

So, Miller to Pitt for Fleury, then Fleury to Edm for their #1?

He had 12 starts a couple years ago. I think he could handle 30 at this point. Maybe with those two we end up with a top-5 pick. Maybe they play better than we expect. |

Does Fleury really have no NTC or NMC?

From what I understand that stiff has a limited NTC and is to make 5 mill in each of the next two years. There won't be a big market for him. |

NFL, and it's not close. Football players could never do back to back games or even close to a 100 game schedule with playoffs. NFL players get hit every play. Especially linemen |

At age 22........Bernier had 112 regular season AHL games, 16 playoff games. Hackett has 132 regular season AHL games, 26 playoff games. Why wouldn't he deserve a shot to backup or maybe even split time with Jhonas? |

ahhhh... didn't know they were comparable... good call perhaps.
I still think we finish in the bottom 6 next year. |

How many NFL players would have 7 teeth knocked out and come back and play in the same game? How many NFL players would play with broken bones throughout an 8 week playoff battle? Toughness is not just getting hit but also the mental and physical toughness to play while you are injured and in pain. |

Many NFL players play with broken bones and torn ligaments. Football is much more physically intense than hockey on a game to game play to play basis. There's no way they could play multiple games per week like hockey |

That's where the franchise players are (well more like bottom three but you get what I'm saying). |

Eh, disagree with that. Taking a big hit into the boards/glass is a lot more painful than taking an open field hit from a receiver or running back through the hole.
Football players play with bigger padding, hockey is at a higher speed. |

I'm confused...when weren't we good? I was speaking to Darcy just the other day over lunch and he said we are in perfect shape for a cup run next year. |

Ennis has a .65ppg or average of 53pts per 82 games
Ryan has a .77 PPG or average of 63pts per 82 games
Add in Ryan's other intangibles that Ennis doesn't have and you end up having to give up a decent amount + Ennis to get Ryan - sbroads24
I forgot ennis played with skilled guys like Getz/Perry his first couple years.
I like Ryan.. I just think he is overrate on these boards. |

Outside games are dumb and the Winter Classic should never be played as often as it is. That is my opinion of this story. - sambarugh
It makes more money... So why not? |
