I have a feeling Leino doesn't get bought out. He will have a full season to recoup. He was one of the best players on the team when he played last season. As bad as the signing has been to this point, he only makes $4.5 million. I'd rather buy out Stafford and his $4 million. At least Leino tries.

buffalo has no reason to use either of their buyouts. save leino and stafford let them play if you cant trade them in offseason. there's always a chance they rebound and have a killer season and teams overpay for them at the deadline

I just don't see the reasoning for taking a chance to keep Vanek. Since we are rebuilding I'm not interested in gambling with Vanek at the trade deadline. His value is still pretty high right now. Too many things can go wrong next season and remember there is also 3 weeks of Olympic play he will be involved in, a serious injury or poor season crushes any trade leverage.

I think that with selenne and kouvi both retiring after this season.... And steckel and lombardi being UFAs..... Anaheim will be looking for scoring depth for lines 2 and 3...
