There are games even in hitting leagues that have no flow and very little hitting. See your average game in February. - buffalofan19
And there are run and shoot, and west coast offenses that have bad days, throw a lot, complete a few and there isn't much contact either. |

I could care less how much money it makes.
The fact is that the more events they do like this just makes them less special. They essentially become only about revenue. - sambarugh
Who cares??? Whats special is making it to the playoffs and winning the cup. If they can bring more fans to games "winter classic games" plus make a lot more revenue then why not? |

Fewer and farther between than in hockey. Look, I'd rather watch hockey than football. It's my favorite sport, but there's no need to make it something it's not. It's just as absurd as Andrew Peters saying that hockey players are better athletes than NBA players like LeBron James. It just simply isn't true. |

You guys changed the topic. My contention is hockey players are tougher than football and preacher this has been a debate by many over the years, not the absurdity of what Andrew Peters said. Hits are harder in hockey, when players get hurt by checks, pucks, or sticks its my contention, and many others, that they are the most resiliant and toughest athletes when compared to football. |

I'm sure that their are some hockey players that are tougher than some football players. |

By the way preacher, do you ever say "it's my opinion" or my contention that....whenever you post? Your opinion is always absolute. Humility, in my humble opinion, would serve you and the rest of us well. - GilPerreault11
Do you need actually need him to use those words? Anything that anyone posts on here that isn't some sort of statistic is an opinion. |

Once in awhile, yeah. Especially when opnions are just that, with nothing to really base it on and ESPECIALLY when he compares my opinion to Andrew Peters. |

No offense, but you're making it sound like your opinion means more than his. I could be completely misinterpreting it, but that's the way it comes across to me. |

It's ok, opinions differ and he's a big boy and can debate his own issues, well in my humble opinion he can. |

Its really hard to watch this game.... It may have to do with the fact that i hate both these teams with a passion |

I agree. I have no want or need to watch them. I do plan my evenings around the other series though. |

By the way, I facilitated the discussion so, yeah, I'm probably going to be supporting my opinion more strongly. But, I think I'm correct, but there is a chance that I'm wrong. |

Same here. Chicago has been my favorite team in the West the day they drafted Kane. And LA was a blast to watch last season and they are also a very likable team. |

If Boston wins the Cup (and I really hope they don't), Krejci is the Conn Smythe winner. Yes, even over Rask. |

Yup. I would prefer Chicago to win the series, but I really don't care either way. I like both teams. As I'm sure you already know, Toews is my favorite player in the league. That's pretty much what edges them out over LA in terms of how much I like either team. LA is definitely my 2nd favorite Western team. |

I can't believe my sub-conscious or whatever it is has me rooting for the Bruins against the Pens. I just dislike Crosby and the Pens that much. |

I don't feel like Rask has been tested all that much other than the Toronto series. |

The real question here is Pittsburgh or Boston which team would you be most pissed off about winning. |

I'm just the opposite. I'm sick of Boston being put on a pedestal, especially in this town. Boston can be beat if you play a smart game. Boston's game is very dependent on getting you off yours. If they can't do accomplish that, they're done. Pittsburgh tried to play Boston's game which killed them in the first two games. |

It's equal. I have the same amount of disdain for both teams. Is anyone else irritated that we had winning records against both of them this season? |
