Wow, Gregory Campbell is a true Cup champion
- dingo8urbaby

That was something else. He could barely stand and still did a fantastic job staying in the passing lane.

The way's he's played? He'd look great, in an expensive suit, sitting in the press box.
- Jsaquella

Who has played well for Pittsburgh. Crosby has played like crap also. It's what happens when a team is breaking down. Bunch of individual play, and they don't have the team game they need to have.

I'd take Letang on the Flyers in a heartbeat. He's in the same spot most defenseman are in, when they aren't getting the support. They look bad in that situation. Put Letang on the Bruins right now, how do you think he'd look?
- MJL

Please provide the link into Carter's brain where he tried to push his glove away instead of thinking I am going to slash his hand when they had an exchange before that whole sequence.

Thats far out stuff man. Well done. Carter fan boy to the very end. It gets old.

I agree. Letang is a very good defenseman. He is struggling this series though. Making some poor decisions and losing his man in front of the net to often.
- stveshdy

Yes, he is one of many players who are struggling for the Pens. Doesn't define him as a player.

Couldn't care less what he looks like in this series. I don't like the player and it doesn't matter to me who he plays for. Simply overrated.

I'll give him a small bit of credit. He's better then Mike Green. That is all...

I was kind of suprised the play wasn't blown dead there. There always seems to be a vibe that the Pens get a few more breaks than most other teams.

Although the play with the Thor nut shot was also allowed to continue.

Put Letang on the Rangers right now with a ridiculous contract, and I'll be a happy man.

Don't need a link into Carter's brain. Just need to watch the play. It's clear what he was trying to do. He was trying to sweep Duncan's glove away. Carter isn't a player who would intentionally try and slash a bare hand while a player is reaching for his glove. Have to take the history of the player into consideration.

I like Letang a lot. He still has struggled in this series so far. He's capable of turning it around though.

The Pens haven't been able to match the intensity level of the Bruins so far.

The problem is, he's supposed to be an elite defensemen, yet he's one of the ones who is most guilty of the sins causing the team to fall apart. He's likley going to be close to a $7mm a year player, if not more soon. For that kind of cash, he has to be an elite player that isn't running around like an idiot and making dumb plays

The one guy I cheer for on the Pens is Vokoun.

He's trying to to do too much. Just like Crosby is. He is an elite offensive defenseman. Even elite players can have bad games, or bad series. It happens.

The guy attempted to block a shot while in the middle of dying out there. I'm just glad Malkin didn't take the shot...

I'd have to think about it, but good call.

First and foremost a d-man should be good at keeping the puck out of his own net.

The Pens still have the talent to win this series. They win tonight and we have a series without getting anything from Malkin, Crosby or Neal.

He's had more than one bad series. He was atrocious against the Flyers last year, too. I'm well aware of Letang's level of play. There's quite a few Pens bloggers & fans who know their stuff that have said the same things I'm saying. Such as there's no way they'd sign him for $7mm+ a year.

Same could be said for Malkin Crosby iginla... That whole team is making boneheaded plays. Doesn't mean they are going to be like that for the rest of their careers
