So, last night i made my own burgers, but they came out dry... tasty, but dry. I don't think I overcooked them, though it's possible. Didn't overhandle them in any case.

Recipe:

1.5 lbs of extra lean beef(could be the problem right there)
1/2 onion, finely diced
1/2 of a big carrot, shredded
some shrooms, not sure how many , finely diced
a few handfuls of lovage, finely diced
1/2 a garlic
olive oil
2 eggs
buncha spices, seasoned salt

should I add more veg to make them juicier? different meat? I don't wanna use wheat, so no breadcrumbs.

you over cooked them.

I use extra lean all the time and never have a problem with dryness. Shouldn't need the Olive oil either - has a low burn point so flame ups are almost guaranteed, which leads to overcooking
