not to mention the fact, as most snow-haters will acknowledge, snow doesnt trade his prospects...now youre telling me not only will he trade a prospect but itll be the #1/#2 prospect in the system in a salary dump move...i dont buy it.
- LetsGoIsles

Just playing devils advocate here but if this happened I think we could all agree it had nothing to do with Snow. Also I got the 500th post do I win a prize for this?

Nino is a lefty and Strome is a righty, so that has to factor in on line combo's. We have a lot of Lefties on this team... too many actually

I'd like to see one of nino or strome on JT's wing

preference...

Also is Garth trades one of Nino, Strome, Reinhart, Nelson for Lu or Miller or to simply have the other team buy out DP, I would not watch and Isles game for a very long long time.

So you dont think if snow thought they were better goaltending away from beating the penguins, and ottawa looked dead so probably goaltending away from the conference finals, that he'd give up one of his 2 best prospects for a good goalie?
- robz228

I think if there's anything we've learned with Garth, it's that he's a very patient person and has wang's support to remain patient. They haven't and likely won't look for quick fixes and are more than willing to continue to wait for things to develop naturally within. It's apparently working to a point, so I'm pretty sure they'll continue that same path. Trading one of your top prospects for salary relief and an upgrade to a position you already have three potential long term answers for makes little sense.

for 9 years of luongo...no...if luongo is THE answer to the islanders problems then there are plenty of other ways to overspend to get the same talent that luongo brings.

I didn't realize Viktor Stalberg was 6'3. He could be a nice fit next to JT

They would have played Boston if they beat the Penguins. Not Ottawa.

I said that would be a good consolation prize if Bickell is resigned by the Hawks...the way Bickell is playing in the playoffs he could get $4.5- $5 million a year. It doesn't look like both are going to be signed y Chicago so one of them will be the odd man out...

Here's what I would like to see in summer:
1. Trade for Bernier; or sign Smith as a UFA;
2. Sign Scuderi to a 2-3 year deal...maybe he'll come home and finish his career;
3. Sign Bickell or Stalberg...

I'm a little weary of guys like Bickell who have a good playoff and then cash in after and you really don't know if its a fluke or not. I'm not saying he is a fluke and he would be a good fit but paying a guy close to 4 million a year after one good playoff run is dicey IMO. Stalberg I think would be cheaper

I'm guessing that seems to be who they are going to be signing(Bickell). From what I read(which prob means jack shat)they are supposed to be signing one or the other so Stalberg very well may be available?

Unless we have one or two playing opposite wing, it does become a log jam

Both Nino and Nelson look ready for NHL time

Most hockey players are lefties. I'd hardly consider that any kind of phenomenon.

My gut tells me we have one more year of Nabby/Poulin tandem on the Isles. I dont mind it that much, an upgrade would be nice though. Nabby was great this season but his playoffs left something to be desired. The Kings might demand quite a bit for Bernier but not sure what leverage they have considering everyone knows that Quick is their #1 for years to come.
I wish I knew what was going through Garths head aside from the thought of double teaming a pair of hookers with an eight ball of coke. Obviously, moves must be made this offseason, especially with Streits salary gone.

All he has to do is wait for a new blog and he will see all of us rip apart Dee for the first 25 comments or so.
I especially look forward to Vukota's signature "you facking hack" comment which usually gives me a good chuckle.
I usually let her off easy with a simple "you suck Dee". Some of you guys get creative though

Same here man. Was just talking about this with one of my buddies last night, I dont buy into him just yet.

By the way, when are you adding the Isles to your signature? No more of this leaving your favorite team blank shat.
