It was a nailbiter.

Naw, but you get my meaning, right? If the opposition weren't a team as good as Boston, and if the Pens were only tied in the series, I could see taking that gamble. Not down 2-0 against Boston.

it's reported that while everyone else is on the ice, Malkin and Iginla are on the hotel parking lot working on one timers.

There is no denying that Flower has been subpar recently in the playoffs. He was horrible against the Flyers last year and against the Islanders this season. He wasn't very good in game 2 vs Boston. But how good was the team in front of him in all these games? The team collectively played MUCH BETTER when Vokoun was in the pipes. If the team plays that way in front of Fleury tonight, I think we will see vintage MAF and the goalie that won us the cup in 2009.

You are going on a BIG if about guys in front playing better. They have played better in front of Vokoun for a reason. Why not take the goalie in which they play better in front of? I still don't think they play well in front of Vokoun, but they play better.

Honestly it's like picking whether you would want to be drowned or choked. Neither goalie will be good if the team around them continues to play the way they are.

this game day skate is really making me nervous

Haha me too. If Flower gets the nod he will have my full support. I'm sure we all want this for him. He just scares me to death right now.

Hopefully he will have the me against the world mentality.

Sure would be nice but I don't see it. I'm especially pessimistic today.

Honestly that stat is meaningless. Fleury is playing the worst hockey of his career presently. He has completely erased the benefit of the doubt that he built up from the Cup Final years.

Yeah, the tenders definitely need better in front of them. I do think it's a mistake to play Fleury over Vokoun, though. There may be a one game margin for error, but if Boston wins in convincing fashion again tonight this series is over, imo.

He scares me too bro. The last thing i want is for him to start and allow a soft one in the first 2 minutes. I'd be lying if I said i'm not worried that could happen. But I DO believe in this guy. I do think he can get out of this funk and turn this thing around. This is a pivotal moment in this guys career, and I hope he makes the best of it. The team needs him right now, and tonight is his chance to make us all believers again

I'm not digging up the numbers, but have you seen their stats this post season? If I'm Disco, that's how I'm choosing my starting goalie for the most important game of my career.

I said it once, and I'll say it again. Regardless of how Fleury played against the Flyers last season...or the Islanders this season...or Boston in game 2....he WILL be in goal tonight so prepare yourself.

Dave Molinari ‏@MolinariPG 23s
Vokoun is the first Penguins goalie to leave the ice after the game-day skate. Presumably means he starts Game 3.

If that's the case, then Dan DESERVES to be fired if we lose this series.
