Nicely put. And, obviously, all goalies give up bad goals. In the case of Quick last night, I'm certain that LA fans are seeing this as an occurrence rather than a pattern. There's no reason to think otherwise.

Re Quick, I was surprised to hear his lifetime numbers when playing back-to-back games. They're awful. Probably because he uses his legs so energetically?

Gotta be, because he's awful, and clearly a great goalie

Knowing the Blues, and their style of play, they'll take Matt Cooke

I was surprised to see how well the Hawks have done against him this year - he hasn't been great against us once all year (real close in Game 1), including regular season (which of course doesn't matter ). He is really quick down low and he is so aggressive. I like to watch him and think he's excellent, but I think we fans over-value the other teams' guys and under-value ours.

His numbers are not good but also could have something to do with the fatigue of his teammates.

No team plays better in back to back games than the Hawks since Paul Goodman has been on the scene.

Hawks continue to roll with a 4-2 victory, Quick looks human. "Soft" Hawks taking care of tough Kings:FOX Chicago:http://bit.ly/15ynJtj

Yeah yikes, although I did say start him Vokoun wasn't any better. He'll start the next game I bet, and we'll see how it goes. But my idea looked terrible tonight

That is the opposite of the Crow argument - tough for a goalie to look good with that bunch of statues in front of him. This case is why coaches hesitate to go to a second goalie in the playoffs - what happens when the second one soils the bed, too?

He came into this year off of a back issue, and had to play his way back into shape, I guess for most of the short year...

... And yeah, if these boards were all I knew about the Hawks, I might think they were the Flames or something. Chicago sports fans, traditionally, tend to be cynical, (the Jordon three-peats may have lessened it a little bit) and I think with the Hawks specifically there's still a lot of residue from the Bill Wirtz years. So if Seabrook (or whoever) makes a bad pass or is having (by his standards) a down year, then it's: "Seabrook sucks!" "Keith sucks!" "Scratch Toews!"

But we have a great team this year, and if The Streak is culminated with The Cup, it will be one of the most memorable of any Chi team in any sport for a long, long time.

remember when everyone complimented the GM from Pittsburgh and how they wished our GM would have the stones to make those moves......well there was one hole he didn't fill and he may not have the resources to get a goalie in the off season and if he does teams are going to make him overpay because the other 29 teams in the NHL now know the 1 thing the Pens need......

Oh, I thought St. Louis is in the Western Conference.... You asked who PIT would trade to get Halak - I said Iginla, Murray and Morrow (as a joke, since their acquisitions don't seem to have done the trick.

I really can care less who wins the ECF but Boston is straight up dominating that series right now. That Game 3 like the Hawks Game 3 is huge. Either it will be a series after that game or you can pencil in the B's/Hawks for the SCF.

Cuz' prior to his exile, he'd been looking like Vokoun did in the early part of Game 2...which landed him in ballcapville

Three defensemen? Oh, you meant a goalie.... They are down 2-0 in this series no matter who is in the net for them, even the great Quick.
