I'm with Senstroll and HOHO on this one. I would delete the post as this effects their livelyhood. They work for the Leafs as ambassadors and are privy to info. You could seriously cause them damage by posting this. I would keep the experience to yourself and your immediate friends.

Or his opinion on Reimer, or their combined thoughts on Burke and Wilson. Hockey is a close knit bunch. They're supposed to keep their thoughts to themselves, and the media and fans are fed what they are supposed to hear.

Tom was lucky to have honest facetime with them and should not share it publicly or they will learn their lesson (the 3 insiders) and never share openly with the public again.

You must have made them feel comfortable Tom. I'd leave it there and keep the trust they showed in you.

Very cool meeting the guys like that. I have met Wendel as well. Such a down to earth guy.

He was definitely down to earth. Surprisingly, Leeman was far more talkative.

We (my buddy Rob and I) met up with him at the "draft" that night. He gave us his absolute attention for a solid 20 mins. He gave us a lot of insight into circumstances surrounding his trade to Calgary and what it was like to play for Montreal (I told him playing for Montreal tainted his career! )

Funniest part of the conversation was him telling us the team couldn't find Fuhr for 3 days when they went on a west coast trip. Leeman said that happened a lot when Fuhr was "on the powder".

depending on the week.. usually about 2x a week and increasing.. getting calls to do mid week shows and sunday evening shows now.. which are generally flat rate gigs.. which is always nice

looks like my next no gig weekend is august 24th.. which will probably be booked by the time it rolls around

tho, thankfully i have a monday to friday office job. straight days.. so it doesnt really interfere.

the boys know that i wont quit my job for the band unless its financially plausible.. i told them that from the outset. and they understand that.

Did he tell you about Iafrate's wife? LOL

Yeah Fuhr was in such rough shape when he retired. He was put together with needles, thread, staples and any other adhesive device that doctors use. He never felt a thing. LOL

It's common knowledge. Iafrate and his wife were on the outs at the time. She was basically his ex by then. Leeman was her shoulder to cry on so to speak. It just got ugly quickly because of the ego and pride thing.

That's what I heard, maybe Tom can confirm or shed some further light.
