We can leave it at that no need to argue back and fourth, no need for all the attack posts from all the other folks here, no need to point fingers as to who's right and who's wrong. He made big money and played like he didn't care 75% of the time like most of this team. Good riddance IMO. He was supposed to be one of the veteran "leaders"

It goes back to the same argument we had about the likes of Boyes, MacArthur, etc. Environment is everything for most players. Regehr is one of them.

To that environment point. What I was trying to say is that no environment or good team would have guys like Gerbe, Kaleta, or even Flynn ( who I like) on their 2nd or 1st lines because they are just not good enough. That's where guys like Boyes or MacArthur would have been an upgrade on this roster, their not stars or difference makers but they are pieces that can be plugged in on lines 1-3 on most teams, our 2nd liners are borderline NHLers for the most part

I'm not bitter, I'm simply stating that unless you actually state what the "inside info" is that you have, it really means nothing. Why even mention that you have info, if you don't plan on saying what it is? The only person who's bitter around here, is you.

Vanek spends his offseasons in Minnesota as far as I know. Not sure why he would be moving to VA right now either way. Especially when he's still a member of the Sabres organization.

It could be true, but who's to say he hasn't decided to live in VA in the offseason? Maybe his wife wanted to be near the ocean.

Mike Robotaille did say on his weekly radio show on WGR right after the trade that Regehr essentially had to be begged to accept a trade to LA. Whether he loved the team, the Buffalo area, or just didn't feel like moving, I'm guessing there is some truth to what he is saying. However, I agree for the most part. If you're going to claim to know things and then say nothing, it's intellectually dishonest, even on a message board.

Honestly, the only people who really know how Regehr and his wife felt, are Regehr and his wife. I heard the Robitaille thing too right after he was traded. Whether it was really how they felt or not, we will never actually know.

Nobody's saying you're wrong. But if you're going to make blatant statements without backing them up, you shouldn't act surprised or even hurt when you're called out on it. And no, "I know someone who told me something that I'm not going to divulge here" doesn't count.

Trades can be made between teams out of the playoffs. The NHL doesn't like it because it takes away from the teams still in the playoffs. At least that is how it has been explained in the past.

To me, it just seems odd that he went to the World Championships, was advised of a trade, and already found the home and school district in Virginia that he's going to send his kids to. I suppose it's doable, but it seems a little too quick. I'm going to file it under "BS" for now.
