You have to hand it to Homer in one regard: He seems intent on finding hockey players at no cost to assets on the current organizational depth chart no matter where they played. Overage junior talent, College talent, overseas talent, etc.

Grossmann was our most consistant defender last year. He isn't flashy, but I would rather keep him then both Coburn and Meszaros if we aquire another mobil defender.

i wouldnt either. grossman is an absolute hoss. a tank who isnt a total liability in the skating department either. never going to be an offensive powerhouse, but he certainly isnt the problem on the back end.

I understand what you are saying here.
I'd take a healthy Grossmann over Oduya though.
Getting Grossman and Oduya over Kubina, if they could have a do over would have been perfect.
