I think there is a lot of interest in Gordon in Edmonton, and considering the make up of the teams (Toronto & Edmonton), I have to think that if the $ is the same, the Oil is a better fit for him...
Anyway whoever he ends up with is getting a quality bottom 6 palyer - at a reasonable price point... |

you can have him, the leafs are just lame and never let their young guns play to gain experience. Bro lets sign gordon, okay we just have a 6'5 giant on the sidelines fiddling his thumbs... might as well just play colborne. If the leafs really wanted to get another guy like gordon, they might as well not have orr or mclaren playing. Unless gordon replaces komarov, then that is a different story, since he might sign in the KHL |

Please ban Howrad.
He's implying that I think $100 bills smell like syrup.
Thanks...

Yeah i dont really see a point in gordon if we had steckel before.. steckel was 6'5, even a guy like paul gaustad wouldnt make sense since aren't they similar? - Mapleleafs_91
I remember when we gave away Steckel, the newspaper reported him as 6'5", and I was all "whaaaaaa? No way!"
Sure enough, on paper the guy is 6'5"
On the ice, he's about 5'6". He never, ever used his body.
Good bye, Mr. Steckel. |

Komarov needs to resign. Good addition to the team. |

Steckal couldn't skate very well and didn't utilize his size very well. |

Thats true, oh well Paul Gaustad would be a solid pick up if he is bought out, isn't that guy like an animal, faceoff specialist, hitter, and fighter? |

What do u do with both McClement and Gordon? They're pretty much the same player who would play the same role. - coolehmon41
McLement played literally every position in the bottom 9 at one point or another. Having 2 guys who can do that is a good thing, especially at cheap cap hits |

I liked Komarov. I'm not opposed to re-signing him.
But if we don't, I'm not going to lose sleep over it.
The guy could be replaced easily. |

Only one player in the Leafs system plays like him, Brad Ross and he is not ready yet, so who is going to replace him?
You have Sam Carrick and Wil Acton but neither are true agitators like him. |

ya guys with size who can win faceoffs aren't important. I mean, hell, Leafs didn't win a single faceoff in the last 5 mins of regulation in game 7, and that didn't hurt them at all I don't think...
