Why did we get rid of Steckel again?
I'm having a hard time believing anyone would rather want Boyd Gordon as 4C than David Steckel.

yeah see how they play, u can move em around.

id honestly keep colborne in the AHL to start the season - injuries will happen and we know both mcclemment and gordon are versatile and could play wing on line 3 or 4...hell id be ok having mcclemment fill in top 6 if it were just a few games.

Orr is a UFA, my bet is they resign McLaren and not Orr, cheaper, younger and no need for both taking up roster spots, need to get Colborne in there (if he is resigned). A million per for Orr is a waste of cap space.

disagree LM.. lose one and carlyle's philosophy goes out the window if you dont have someone to jump in to play that role.

Yeah i dont really see a point in gordon if we had steckel before.. steckel was 6'5, even a guy like paul gaustad wouldnt make sense since aren't they similar?

his slump that spanned from late last year through early this early also happened to coincide with his wrist injury (think it was wrist.. that or hand)

ya they need to treat him like they did kadri last seaon and even if it doesnt work out the way it did with kadri at least then we know

i do agree i liked colborne's game when he came up, im just saying it was a VERY small sample size, thats all.

if colborne is ready than what we really need is our centers to improve their faceoffs..
