Eakins has proven to be a pretty damn good coach in the AHL.
Only time will tell if he can do the same in the NHL.

One thing he has going for him is that supposedly his players love playing for him which is a big plus right there if he can get NHL'ers to do the same.

I'd rather go with Gordon but if we don't get Gordon, Steckell is good on faceoffs. Not his fault he was a constant healthy scratch. Hard to like a guy I guess when he hardly plays.

Explain the positive side? That he's got 5 NHL ready roster players that will make the Toronto Maple Leafs better next year? How about 1?

he lost good part of his team this year and still made the playoff.

I have heard of taking a step backwards to take 2 steps forward - Leafs signing Steckel would be like the Leafs taking a step forward (this year) and then taking 2 step backwards.

I'm pretty sure he'll wanna stay with the Hawks. Aswell I don't think he'll be out of the Hawks price range, so they will want him back too. Just cause he's an Ontario boy is irrelevant.

Who'd did he lose? Kadri? He gained, Connolly, Ranger, Komisarek. Yep not great but proven NHLers.

My wife aswell is the best. Usually when I'm on HB, I'm on the couch sitting up with the laptop, the wife is lying beside me watching TV. I too am afraid to let her see the screen. Let's face it, most of the pics posted on here are usually disgusting. I try to make sure she doesn't see that stuff.
