Well two things I cannot get out of my head reading these posts so hopefully sharing them will help

Thornton to the leafs. I love him as a player but he is 34 this July, and will take us to the 2nd or third round of the playoffs but will stunt our future growth by losing the assets we trade.

Colborne in the minors. Now is the time to let the young guns free and see if they fit into the future. worked for Kadri this year....... If it doesn't work for Colborne then we trade him.

Agreed our shutdown line was not great. Gordon, Mclement, Komarov/Kulemin gets it done.... Gordon gets thrown out of the faceoff, Mclement steps in... Mclemment played wing half the year anyway.

Gets a good goalie in Lu, then trades the two best defensemen on the Leafs, then gains prospects and intends to make the playoffs.

mistake IMO. Should have been C all year. % probably would have been higher with more time too. Was still only 1% behind Bozak.

Prior to this past season, Grabo was easily one of our better players.

point of the article is that you can add a guy like Gordon without hurting your chances of doing the other moves, and it makes the team better.

Phaneuf and Gunner are replaceable. Since we have gardiner and franson doing so well. Rielly in the ranks along with percy, blacker, finn. And if its for a guy like mackinnon you do it, which is overpay.

nope - said that before.

Sign Bozak at $3.5M sure, keep him, move Grabo somehow.

But if Bozak is looking at $4.5M+, let him walk and keep Grabo.

Grabo will be 2nd line C next year. he's had a bad HALF a season. Rest of his career numbers are substantially better than Bozak's at both ends of the ice.

Should only keep one of them, and if it's a $1M difference (or less) you keep the better player. Grabo's the better player to this point in their careers.
