Ruff is overrated, and is an older Paul Maurice. Except Maurice actually won something.
Players in NY have pride and only dive to block shots so Av is out.
The next coach of the Rangers will be Joel Q if he get's canned or someone from the AHL. |

Torts did a lousy job this year. However, at what point do you really start looking at the GM? Sather is a bad one. This situation reminds me of the one in Vancouver. The GM is just as much to blame as the coach. |

5 teams still in playoffs are last 5 Cup Winners. Getting a good record in the regular season is one thing but to advance in the playoffs especially because of all of the pressure due to expectations is another story. Out of executives, players and coaches; coaches are the first to go after the playoffs. |

There is a part of me that enjoys Torts and his epic rants, but I'm glad he doesn't coach my team. Its also kind of fitting in my mind that the most arrogant coach in hockey couldn't outlast the "most arrogant organization in hockey" this year. Much love Torts, I'm sure we'll be seeing you soon. |

They probably were going to bring him back...until they talked to the players.
Good coach but short shelf life and don't know about this defend first system he used while in NY.
When he was in Tampa, his motto was "sitting back is death."
Strange. |
