I will always appreciate what Jagr did in a Penguin uniform. His contributions to two Cup teams will never be forgotten. He had some magical moments and amazing goals. However, his performance and moaning during the ECF against the Devils was BS. I don't respect him as a person, parts of me are still bitter, but as a hockey player I do. Maybe him returning to the Pens prior to signing with the Flyers was overblown by the media a little but if he had a chance to be the hero again and it never happened. I hope that Orpik or Murray greet him in Game 1. Also I don't want to hear people suggest him coming back to Pittsburgh for one last time. That shipped sailed and sunk.

The only reason i would want to see him come back is to sign a one day contract so he can retire a Penguin. He will go into the HOF as a Pittsburgh Penguin.

How has Edmonton done since retiring those numbers?

Just read a little on the Gretzky trade ha ha they asked the Canadian government to block the trade

It wasn't so much the retiring of those numbers that has killed the Oilers. It's more the trading the players who wore those numbers for broken sticks, used balls of sock tape and pre-molded mouth guards that has done them in.

So has Letang's 16 points in 11 games thus far made anyone think twice about wanting to trade him?

It depends on how much he wants to resign. Malkin is the priority over him. If Letang wants north of 6.5 million, you have to deal him.

I believe it was found sitting next to the Titanic and the Flyers at the bottom of the Atlantic.

Right?! I'll never understand Letang hate. Fans of other teams hate Pens fans because we "act spoiled." Letang hate is the result of being spoiled. He is a generational talent. He is the kind of guy that a franchise could be built around. He isn't perfect, but nobody is. He leads the playoffs in assists, he is tied for 2nd in points, and he is tied for 3rd in +/-. We should keep him, even if it costs a lot of money. I'd rather trade Martin than Letang (not at all a knock on Martin. Letang is that special).

There are 446 bridges in Pittsburgh, and Jagr burned every last one of them
