Would love to see Torts land on his feet in Vancouver....or at NBCSN and just go off on Millbury and Roenick...that would be quality right there.

I'm hoping he joins the TSN panel again for the rest of the playoffs.

Thanks.

Hopefully I'll be spending every other night of the honeymoon in a sports bar watching the Pens in the SCF!

I had plans to watch a Steeler game the day after my wedding...

We ended up having brunch with my new in-laws.

How's that saying go.... Hope in one hand and sh*t in the other.....

Congrats!

Thanks! I'm one of the lucky few to be marrying a woman who is a legitimate sports fan, so hopefully that'll work in my favor. HOPE...there's that word again. haha

@KatieStrangESPN BREAKING: John Tortorella has been dismissed as head coach of the Rangers, source confirms

Not surprised with this at all. But, like in Vancouver, shouldn't Sather really be on the chopping block as well. He, like Gillis has made alot of mistakes along the way. I think Sather is a horrible GM.

Pass. The last thing I want to see (and hear) is another Pens hater on that panel. No amount of Pierre love slobber can make up for hiring another former rival of the Pens.

If he didn't have Hank I think this move is made a lot sooner. I will miss his facials during games and his gems in the press conferences after.

Torts is one of the bigger pieces of poop not only in hockey but in all of sports. He's pure trash.

I think the best thing is that Ek just posted a blog a few days ago saying Torts was safe and would be coaching the Rags next year.

I think you will be upset then. They should make him GM and coach.

Well the nhl has really screwed it up this time lol. Push back the series? This pretty much assures the cup will be won by luck depending on how bad the ice is. These next two rounds will have the worst ice in nhl history, 100%. Finals being played in LA close to july? get ready for the worst NHL hockey you have ever had the misfortune of watching coming up. two rounds of it.
- StabMastaArson

The temperatures don't fluctuate here in LA like they do back east. Kings ice will be fine.

8 days off is just poor, they should have started the series on Thursday and the WCF should have started of Friday at the latest.

I think Sather is beyond senile at this point and may have been the luckiest GM in all of pro sports in the 80's. Unfortunately for the Rags, I don't think their owner gives too much of a poop.

If you have about 10 minutes, check out the video on this link. It's an ESPN 30 for 30 short about Clint Malarchuk, his horrific injury and the struggles in his life afterwards

Really powerful stuff.

Wonder what Gunner's thoughts are on this. Jagr retire his number here or no? I say he's one of the greatest all time but I can't retire a guys number who made such a public cry to get out of here. I know the team was going down the drain but that is something you do out of the public eye. Obviously it created hard feelings and is why it will never happen. He was a site to see though I'll give him credit. We as fans have been spoiled from the 90's to present.
