Haha, Bieksa didnt make Ians keeper list. Awesome blog!
The worst player in the entire Canucks/SJ series for both teams and all he could do was point fingers everywhere but his own frigging game. Used his injuries last two playoffs now for his poor play even tho he had no post hockey treatment. AV whacked Kesler last season saying his injuries were a non factor even tho he ended up with double surgery yet he said nothing about Bieksa's excuse with no treatment. I wish AV took his bum buddy Bieksa with him.... - boonerbuck

Looks like firing AV has ended the jinxs of losing the eventual cup winner. |

You know....here's a guy (Henrik) who's the franchise leading scorer, is an absolute pillar in the community, he's good with the media, he lead the team to within 60 minutes of a Stanley Cup (same as Linden), he's third all time in game winning goals (believe it or not), he's number two in games played regular season & playoffs, he's the franchise leader in +/-, he's second all time in playoff points, what does he need to do to get some respect from the fans???
We/they have a track record of treating our star players like poop, and the beat goes on...I don't get it. Is he a dominant playoff player, no, is he a dominant regular season guy, no, but he's a quiet leader who goes about his business and gets the job done. If we had more guys who consistently performed we should be so lucky.
I'm not a huge Sedin guy, but give credit where it's due. They're not the problem with the team, the other bottom nine guys are. I'll stand by that until proven otherwise!!!
Much respect for you Vintage, always enjoy and respect the views of guys like yourself, Vantel, DCT, Fosco, Alex, Darius, Scooby, KB3, chompsey, bloated, Nucker, etc etc...BUT we need to lay off the Hank and Dany need to go or step down thing. - LeftCoaster
I was only postulating if anyone thought Henrik would yield if it was in the best interest of the team. For the record, I think he would, but I don't think anyone will consider it for all the reasons you mentioned. Personally, I have no problem with Hank as the captain, I am not one of those that believes the captain has to get in a fight to prove he's a good leader. |

I'll bet you were all dressed up in your finest livery, brimming with alacrity for a remunerative evening. |

I think the starting bid would need to be Kesler - VANTEL
I disagree its a bigger market for D and Edler will fetch a better return. I MG can weasel a deal for any of the top 3 picks he could have a potential Calder trophy candidate. A deal is possible. Of those three I honestly don't know who I would pick. Probably Mcmuffin. |

To Tampa : Dan Hamhuis
To Vancouver: 3rd Overall + Salary(Malone)
To Florida: Cory S + Chris Tanev + Jannik Hansen
To Vancouver: 2nd Overall + Marcel Goc
To Dallas: Burrows + Schroeder + 2014 1st
To Vancouver: Eriksson + Dillon
Imagine.
Is it possible?
FYI I haven't tried these in NHL13 :p |

Gary Mason just said on TEAM1040 that Ballard and Booth won't be bought out. Gillis believes it was coaching that led to their poor play. Hmm... I tend to agree, but I'm still not sure about this decision. - Scooby_Doo
At least one of them will be gone they have to be unless they trade half their D because they need to fit under the cap.
I'm really not sold on Booth. I do think he was given an opportunity. He didn't produce and was injured for too long. |

Sorry, but none of these trades are realistic.
And I don't think any of the Canuck players you listed are ones the team is looking to move.

Which opportunity was he given? The guy is a top 6 north/south shoot-first winger who requires a north/south playmaking center, and he was put beside Kesler (a north/south shoot-first winger who takes faceoffs). Awful coaching.
