I just want to know how many times we see this in the series.
Nabokov was chased twice, and Anderson three times. Each of their regular season GAA basically doubled in a series vs the Pens, and their save percentage went up about 50 percentage points.
Get to Rask, he's a hot head... - rival22
haha let's make a bet: we'll see that by game 3.
I can envision us seeing a bit of Khudobin on the ice...and he's pretty good. |

This is the series we got Iggy, Morrow and Murray for. Boston presents bigger challenges than what we have seen thus far. IMO, they don't have the transition game of the Islanders, but possess a good one. They don't have the goalie that Ottawa had heading into the series. Anderson is better than Rask, but Rask is solid.
They roll four quality lines, which we haven't seen in the play-offs thus far. They are more physical than Ottawa or the Islanders even though they might not have as many hits per game. - Oneonta Penguin
Thanks for playing Glass, Mr.Bylsma Do you think Vitale would be an interesting piece to this series? He seems to thrive on this fast/hitting game. |

Its hard to make an argument for him to play over any of the current 6, no? |

The horse made one big mistake while playing against the Bruins if I'm not wrong. I'm pretty sure Bylsma will play Engelland ahead of Despres. Pitty. |

no matter what they will go with the refs fault - Popcorn Kid
Speaking of the Refs, can you imagine if the Pens were awarded a penalty shot like Chicago was in last night's game and it turned out to be the game winning goal? All the all of the "Bettman wants the Pens to win, the Pens get all the calls." The conspiracy that the league wants the Pens to win the cup. Probably won't here it as much now. |

All I know is that Bostons blue line is being held together by bubble gum and packing tape right now. The Penguin forwards have to hit them every single chance they have. Also, Douglas Murray has to piss of Milan Lucic. - Ben37
Some good acid huh? Young kids played great in the semis nothing tape or gum about it. Thats what is called depth. |

yeah...I doubt that. The Pens offense is going to pose a huge challenge but you're seriously underrating the Bruins defense and goaltending, which in net Boston has the advantage.

Did you happen to catch Mildouche's comment after that.... He said it wouldn't have been a penalty in "his day", but they've called it all year and it was a good call. Yet Mildouche said that he didn't agree with the call on Strait when he had two hands on Sid......something they called all year. That guy is such a biased tool. |

Star players get more calls. That is a fact, not just in hockey but in all sports. The Penguins just happen to have two of the biggest and best stars in the sport. Does that mean the Penguins, as a team, get more calls than other teams? Yes. Does it mean the NHL or Bettman "wants" the Pens to win or that there is some sort of conspiracy to get them to win? Of course not. The Pens and their fans have nothing to apologize for when Sid and Malkin get calls, and other teams and their fans have nothing to apologize for when those calls happen and frustrate them. The only people who have to apologize for anything are the idiots who view this as a conspiracy or some kind of intentional scheme. |

...SO...that also means Chara, Lucic get no calls for their antics on the ice. They are like Chris Neils on that matter. They can hit from behind, slash and do whatever they want with their sticks....and no calls are warranted |

It will be a true test no doubt. You guys have some serious and dangerous firepower. One thing I don't hear mentioned too much is the Bruins are a very experienced team in the post season and at being huge underdogs in the post season. Its been awhile since the Pens have made it this far and haven't been truly tested yet in this years playoffs. |

Oh, they've been tested. The Islanders were the fastest team in the playoffs and played their hearts out. I'd say that was a pretty good test and it nearly went to a game 7. |

I actually don't perceive Boston to be particularly nasty or dirty. |

Why are you getting so defensive? Are you suggesting that Chara and Lucic are the caliber of player Crosby and Malkin? Chara and Lucic are great and good players respectively, and while I think Chara is a hall of famer one day I don't think anyone would suggest he's the same type of star Crosby or Malkin is.
Do Chara and Lucic get more calls than a third pairing defenseman and a fourth line winger? Of course. But it's all relative.
By making defensive statements like this you suggest their is something wrong with star players getting calls. I think the whole point of my initial post was there is nothing wrong with that. |

meh... Was there ever a feeling they were going to get knocked by the Isles? They did have an impressive showing but...you guys had that. It was a matter of finishing it. |

Comparing regular season Boston to the team we're about to see is a huge mistake.
Who cares if we were 3-0? It's going to be a completely different team. |

I think you need a reality check. We have players that are play-off tested - many were on the last Cup team. Also, the Islanders tested us more than anyone would know. They tested us more than the Rags tested you. |

Th Islanders test was the equivalent of the Leafs test for you guys. Two fast teams. The Rangers were just not good, just like Ottawa. Now comes the real battle. We're confident. |

It's been 4 years for that core and even longer for Morrow and Iginla...I don't think it's completely crazy to think that. The Rags have severe problems in that room. Toronto was the real test and it was barely passed. |
