Way too much. And not Crosby now but at the draft yea that would be about the max I would pay for a bonafide consensus number 1. Your trading 2 established NHLers , one who has the ability to be a Norris candidate, the other a solid top 4 guy, a top 10 pick that could end up an All star, and a 2nd
- sbroads24

I don't think that gets you crosby at the draft. He was pegged as the next gretzky at like age 9. No way anybody'd give that up.

Also Myers needs to bounce back big time if he's gonna be a norris candidate

Says the one who started slinging first. Go back to the Edmonton dump, Cloutiers knob isn't shiny enough for him to post another 4 blogs yet today. And you still have something on your chin.

Love how he plays. Is fun to watch, he will calm down and pick his spots better as he gets older
- sbroads24

it's weird. He's obviously the best of the bunch, but I don't find the way he plays that entertaining. I actually love watching the way RNH and Kane play. So swift with such soft hands

I guess he's a big Erik Johnson fan and hopes Seth can be half the player Johnson is so they can win a cup. Newsflash: Sakic and Roy are running the team now, not playing for them.

He does. Not saying he will be a Norris winner or anything, but your trading someone who has an incredibly high ceiling for another guy with a high ceiling plus adding a boatload more.

as you can see by my location I'm calgarian. I don't know how I'm slinging. How is what you're doing not trolling? You're just talking about how somehow injury prone eberle is and how much I love "cloutier's knob"

I feel like he would have been a perfect fit in Boston had EDM taken Seguin at 1

I think Hall is better. PPG shows for itself. Seguin's career PPG is like .6 to Hall's .85.

I wouldn't equate Myers with Jones. Myers isn't even in the top 20 even 30 dman in the league right now, Sekera is a solid dman and isn't junk but the Sabres have comparable, mobile young dmen in the pipeline. The 8th pick would give the Avs the ability to draft a talented Dman as well. What I put out there is not too much to get a 1st overall pick.

You also say that there isn't a consensus #1 overall pick right now. That isn't speaking to the weakness of the top 3 players talent, but to the strength of the top 3.

Hall is better, Seguin gets more publicity because of the Kessel trade, which Toronto has still won if you look at stats. Seguin wasn't the reason the Bruins won the Cup. Kessel has consistantly improved since being in Toronto and put up 30+goals. Anyone who says Boston won this trade to this point is a (frank)ing moron. Edmonton made the right choice.

Why not? Myers was viewed as a project that might not be NHL ready until around now and he ended up winning the Calder. Jones very well could struggle for a few years. As far as the strength of the top 3, there are scouts that say Nichuskin is the top prospect. Any one of the top 5 could end up being better than Mackinnon or Jones. My point is that this isnt a draft where there is Stamkos or Crosby sitting at the top and there would be a team that would have to give up the farm to get him, you could move anywhere in the top 3-5 and get a player that some scouts view as the best prospect.

Part of why I say that is because if your trading with COL, you are paying more just for that label of the "#1 overall pick". Which ends up costing you more. Even just one spot lower costs you significantly less, and like I said, you really cant tell who the best prospect is

Sakic might actually make a pretty good GM, just look how Tampa is doing with Yzerman at the helm. A ECF while putting together a fairly good team. Patrick Roy compared to Joe "Suck for Seth" Sacco is an improvement in every way.

Joe Sacco junior coaching record:
60-79-21

Patrick Roy junior coaching record:
348-196

I'd say that's a pretty good improvement on the bench... Roy never had a losing record as a coach and took the Remparts to the playoffs EVERY YEAR of his coaching career.

Sucko's only winning season at any level came when he inherited an already winning team on a 10 game losing streak from Tony Granato (currently assistant coach on the Penguins)

So you are stupid then.

I was mocking you about how Sakick and Roy aren't playing for Colorado.

I know that they are better staff than you've had. Jones will be a bust compared to MacKinnon, and thankfully for Avs fans you aren't the influential person in it all. Roy saw MacKinnon all year, he's taking Nate The Great #1 overall.

at this point it's a win for TO, but Seguin's signed to a great contract and will get 75+ points next year. Also Dougie Hamilton will be a #1 D man some day. He's a stud and TO desperately needs a future 1 just like EDM

but again yea I believe Hall is better

Except your stupidity is showing as well. Sakic has FINAL say on those matters. Joe will make that decision, not Saint Patrick.

I've seen a lot of Myers and he just has issues between his ears. You are probably in the 1% who would put Jones and Myers as having comparable talent and potential. But we all have our opinions.
