I don't see why people are so hell bent on Tampa getting Nichushkin. Nichushkin is getting so much hype because he said he was coming to North America and everyone is getting really excited. He adds another player that has star quality but you also have to remember Nichushkin is like a race horse. He's got blinders to his left and to his right. He still hasn't learned to play with other people. This is not to say he has no chance to go to Tampa because it's a definite possibility.

I'll pass on Nurse, Edmonton would be stupid to take Lindholm over him. But then again, they have surprised us before.

EDIT: I like how it has us passing up Pulock for Morin at #16...

This 2013 draft has a pronounced strong top middle and bottom first round that extends farther inot the second than any in the history of the draft.
The very fact that there are so many late bloomers and good long term prospects teams will get a chance to pass that 2003 group from the top six rounds.
There has never been an all around thicker draft.

More like the sabres get a nice defender with the 8th slot and Bo Horavt, Curtis Lazar or Valentin Zykov with later one...unless they want two defenders.

If anyone doubts the strength of this upcoming draft, just look at Buffalo and what players will be their for them to select and try and compare that to any other draft.

It is rare that a team comes away with two high quality kids who aren't that far, aren't missing huge parts in their development.

Ask a friend who has seen any of the guys I mentioned and the ones in my 211 player mock on DraftSite, and you start to see the huge list of possibles. The very fact that teams will have to make big decisions with each pick (because if the miss the teams after them will make big "hits") will determine the course of franchise restocking in one swoop.
This is NOT a group that has teams scraping the bottom of their lists in the later stages...I have well over 500 possibles and only 211 will get picked.

You didn't hear that in 2003, because the field dropped off pick 49 when Shea Weber went off the board....this drfat is the gift that will keep on giving....

I could go on but the point is the above names DWARF the ones after the top 49 in 2003...

My list of 210 has been posted since November while Craig button and the others where reaching for their bottom 20-30 with players that will be there in the third round. This also speaks to the strength of this group of prospects.

I think Samuel Morin is a reach, as you think Nurse is...but teams will always see a bigger fluid defender and no matter how much is missing from the product now, they will be willing to watch the kid grow the rest of his game if they feels he is able.
