I wouldn't be surprised if Colorado takes him over Jones. I know they already have duchene and ror, but this kid just looks amazing. They could always trade one of the aforementioned for a defenseman

Well Roy has seen a fair amount of MacKinnon & Drouin while with Quebec

Jones learned hockey in Colorado, his dad played pro basketball in Colorado, his home is essentially Colorado. It's questionable whether or not the lottery was rigged or not, seeing as Colorado only had a (what, 18%?) chance of winning it, they didn't actually do the roll live on TV (as I hoped they might), and it's so perfect that they be the ones that get Jones. I'm not saying it was rigged, it just seemed a bit convenient. Colorado is taking Jones, he's better for their team positionally, and he's better for their market (they get their home-town player and all of that)

The lottery was not rigged.

It wasn't. People need to stop being absurd.

If it was rigged then the Penguins would have won.

I, Dustin Brown, would like to thank my fans for voting for me, and I'd like to thank my Mom for always being such an inspiration, and finally the good sweet LORD Jesus for giving me this wonderful opportunity. Thank you! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

I think he actually starting falling to the ice before the hit was even made!

Great first period. I thought that overall LA was the better team. They need to stop taking penalties. 3 dingers hard off the post.

I hope they keep it up. Those dingers may give the Sharks some confidence.

Then they hit the crossbar right after. That would have really made things interesting.

Not at all. It's part of the "game". That's why it's a lottery....chance....

I know it's a nice story and would be perfect for marketing purposes, but it doesn't mean he'll just come in, be a stud, and help them win. What if Jones turns into Erik Johnson? A solid, yet unspectacular player, while missing out on MacKinnon or drouin who could be, for comparative purposes this year's toews? Idk just something I would have to consider if I was gm.

No goal.

He caught it and sort of threw it at the net, it went off the goalie skate and in to the net. (for those not watching)

Had the goal not moved in that direction then it was likely he would got it.
