Just to put this in to perspective oiler fans that wouldn't want to take lindholm...he had slighty better numbers than Backstrom in the SEL. Although Backstrom followed it up with a superb season

Small sample?? Are u kidding me?? MacKinnon was rock solid all season & the best player at the Mem Cup by far.

If he was used correctly at the WJC, he would have had an impact for Canada, unfortunately they misused him.

Nonetheless, this kid has always been the real deal & whoever ends up with him, has their franchise centre for years to come.

I know Sakic knows this as well, he was a centre.

No, I was talking about his play all season which has been stellar. This kid did not have an off year & he just proved how clutch he really is with his performance at the Mem Cup.

I'm not saying Jones isn't a franchise dman because I think that's exactly what he's going to be but now for sure, the Avs do not have Jones penciled in as their pick - as of yet.

I would love to be in the meetings between the Av's scouts & the front office staff over the next month.

I guarantee you the room will be divided after seeing how dominate MacKinnon can be.

To just have the opportunity to listen to arguments for both Jones & MacKinnon would be priceless.

I think the real winners in all of this are the Florida Panthers - they can just sit back & take whoever the Avs don't.
