boston will shed some salary and it's close, this has merit, but boston's so solid, only thing, they have a glut of d-men coming now.

would Chicago trade hossa for smid and the 7th overall?

I disagree. The Leafs have a good team. This is an entertaining trade idea, and I am God.

I have a feeling this draft is going to be all over the place. This is truly a draft you have to actually watch the players play in order to really gauge who could go where.

Outside of maybe the first 7-10, I think this draft is gonna be all over the place. For example, my own personal list has Horvat, Domi, and Zadorov in the first round and I don't have Monahan going until 14. Most drafts I see have none of the 3 aforementioned in the top 10 and Monahan is in most peoples top 10.

For the record, I don't understand all the love for Monahan. I truly think he's a reach in this draft any higher than 10. So many more impact players available IMO.

edit: Another one is Freddy Gauthier. He, IMO, is rated far to low on a lot of scouts boards

I agree with you on Monahan a little. I just think he is more or less that bigger center the oil need. I see Domi being a Theo Fluery style player, smaller guy but can full out play. Im also big fan of both Horvat and Zadorov. I see all three going 10-15. Id be surprised if the Flyers dont take Zadorov at 11. If not there is no way he goes past NYI or buffalo(Wid pick).

Wings are going to east next year and I doubt the flyers miss out ... Canes will be better , could be tough for leafs

Well your draft list with Monahan going that low is on an island. Not one other team out there has Monahan not going in the top 10.

I think you're out to lunch on exactly what Monahan brings but you have your opinion, I have mine & others have theirs.

MacKinnon is going to be a stud so if the Avs did take him, there's no shame in that & it would not be a surprise one bit.

I think Zadorov is a reach in the top 10 & I think Gauthier is going to be taken a lot higher than many expect.

Wings are going to east next year and I doubt the flyers miss out ... Canes will be better , could be tough for leafs
