well, the Rangers were missing Marc Staal and Anton Stralman yesterday.

If the Bruins were missing Zdeno Chara and not Wade Redden on the blueline, I am sure they'd mention to everyone about a zillion times.

It doesn't matter. Every team has injuries by the second round, whether they be walking wounded or in the press box. If this series went to seven games then an argument could, somewhat, be made. But, it didn't. It was over in five and the better team, by far, won the series.

The Rangers would have lost to the Leafs in 4 or 5. They really were overmatched and lucky to have made it as far as they did.

Bruins need to really suck it up now. NOW, the playoffs start in earnest. There have only been 2 teams all year to be watchful of... Pitts and Chi. Boston and Detroit are pleasant stories but both have some serious comp ahead. If Detroit somehow moves on, start the parade route in the east somewhere --- odds are in Pitts.

LA and SJ... forgotten about.

Good read Ty. I thought the King would've stolen a couple games on his own. The Rangers played well, they just couldn't defend all 4lines. Also they didn't have Krug

Just tell me if the Bruins played an entire series without Chara, nobody in the organization, media or the fans would mention it. Please tell me that

Clearly you don't understand just how important seids is to the team. Many nights he's our best defensive player.

Great that the Bruins have made it this far, if they put up a solid effort and lose I won't be mad. The Penguins are a better team, they will get their power plays and bury most of them.

We can only hope that Vokoun plays a lot worse than he has been since taking over.

Kinda feeling the same way as a Pens fan. They've made it to the ECF. There is no shame in losing to a tremendous Bruins team. Either way I'm looking forward to this series and the Eastern Conference will be well represented. Definitely pulling for the pens, but the Bruins are a great team in their own right.

Bruins were the better team, no doubt, but it killed us our injuries forced us to have to put Roman Hamrlik in the lineup.

Lucic put the final nail in the NYR coffin when he concussed Stralman unfortunately.

According to the Daily News, Anton Stralman is dealing with some facial fractures and a shoulder issue, likely the result of the hit he took from Milan Lucic in game three of the Bruins/Rangers series.

If Anton Stralman is the key to your teams success ... you're gonna have a bad time.

tip of the hat to the rags and king henry. impressed dorsett fought thornton and the humility from torts.

voukon has been good against the b's but there's no way he can stand on his head like king henry did.

b's have a pp now with krug. interesting to hear KPD say the kid has a better one timer than either orr or bourque (ray not chris).

Cant stand the guy, and his cute little nicknames for all the players. He's a blowhard. He and Shaunasey can suck a tailpipe. He's part of the reason I stopped getting the Boston Globe, and he seems to have more false rumors than Ek if its possible.

I agree. KPD twitter is maddening, always a problem with how the game is played or how the rules should be changed. I tuned him out after he ranted about how a team on the PK should not be allowed to ice the puck and if they do it would be another penalty.

Comparing Krug to Orr or Bourque is absurd. I do think Krug's one timer and shot remind me of PK Subban's skill at the offensive blue line.

I hate this waiting, cant even get my week planned until I know when the puck is going to drop.

I guess Ferrance skated today, dont want to see him back at this point.

Bart...
but its close. Not much of a sample size with Redden, but he's nice to have in case of emergency.

Bottom line is that you have a hell of a team, top to bottom, and absolutely deserve to be fighting for the cup. Your team is just as battle tested as the Pens.

i eventually turned the volume off the cbc feed during the first series and it was glorious. i like strader and engblom but i'm sure we'll get stuck with three stooges (emrick, olcyzk, and lucky pierre). emrick's the only one who attempts to hide his pens love.

That and the love the NHL has for Crosby, I see the rough playing Bruins getting called for A LOT of penalties... and that Pens PP is scary as it gets
