he brings a little more size and grit though I think Filpula resigns but he good be a good addition to a lot of teams coming from Detroit he has some skill and knows how to win and play the game properly

This is the kind of salary Weiss will command and I would take him any day over Bozak. If he hits free agency any team that coughs up this kind of money is insane.

Give Colborne a chance, he'll be a decent player that could do anything Bozak could.

Agreed and then some. Colborne plays a lot more physical then Bozak too. Hes no #1 centre by any means, but then again, neither is Bozak

I am not sure what he would of got in a full season but he did have 15 this sortened season so he has found a touch but he goes cold for stretches and still isn't the best skater if you are going to go for him at that price you might as well go all in on a chris stewart or Lucic (frank) I love him hahaha obviously these guys are signed and don't come for nothing but you get the point

Oh I am not denying that I do hope he stays but not for 5 or more it would be another hole to fill but I think the Zajac contract is kind of bad and I think we had to do the Kovy one to get him I don't think it is bad as we will gets a ton of production from him for a good chunk of it but in the last 3-4 years it will be brutal so to have three guys with arguably bad contracts isn't good going forward for us even though the cap should raise and we aren't in cap trouble in the near future

I doubt anyone gives him 5. Like the blog says he is not a first liner on any other team. He's a 3rd line Center getting first line minutes with the Leafs. He is worth 3.5 no more.

only way bozak gets signed is if we buy out grabo. It's a tough situation really, I don't see a happy ending but at the end of the day neither is a #1 centre. There are no #1 centres available so keep one and use the money to improve other areas of the team (DEFENSE). Before this year i'd say grabo over bozak, but bozak got stronger, is better on faceoffs and defensively. If we can trade grabo for anything, sign bozak at $4 and go with bozak, kadri, colborne, mcclemant up the middle.
