I think that everyone knows that the chance to upgrade is not so much there, but there's good opportunity to upgrade the bottom. Players like Stalberg, Bickel, Gordon etc can come in and play useful roles on the 3rd and 4th lines

Randy became a very good NHLer and honestly wasn't great until year 4 in college. Once those types of players click in they can be awesome. Fingers crossed for Biggs.

IMO I'd really target Clarkson and let him play his game a little more offense. Then I'd look at some solid defensemen. Two maybe 3 even.

Well depending on what both Horton & Clarkson want. If they both want the same money, I'd take Clarkson. However, if Clarkson wants toooo much & we can get Horton cheaper, than we'll take Horton. It would be stupid to overpay for anyone at the current stage the Leafs are at.

yeah, he had hands. But how often did you see him deke anyone out of their shorts? Never. He just went through them. As I said, not about skill set, or stats. It's a style to me. Just like you'll never see Datsyuk drive through someone. He'll get by you, and you can't lay a finger on him if you try.

Depends on the player. I'd love to see the Leafs grab a veteran stay at home to play third pairing with Reilly this year. Have his back and show him the ropes. A Douglas Murray perhaps.
