This is why we need to buy out Grabovski: so that every pending free agent stops using that 5.5 number as a starting point in negotiations.

Buying out Grabovski sets the precedent that #2/3 centers don't get 5+.

And it comes with the added benefit of putting another center into the free agent pool, this driving down Bozak's value further.

Are you nuts? Bozak was on the ice for almost 200 more minutes, took all the key faceoffs plays on the power play plus penalty kill and is the only Leaf center who has shown he can play full time with Kessel. Jesus H Christ.
