Hmm does his last name start with M and end in iller?

As much as I'd love him, I think two issues come in to play.

1. His salary. Hawks are 2 mil under and with the cap going down I'm not sure they can do such a move.

2. The front office has too many cooks in the kitchen and will focus this offseason on the 24 game point streak to open the season and everything is fine and nothing needs to be dramatically changed. As part of that, they'll point to Crawford bouncing back and say "I told you so" since they said most goalies go through a soph slump. Too many egos to admit giving him a new deal was a mistake. His contract is up next summer so if they think they can trade him then go in another direction then fine. I just don't see it happening.

Also factor in while I think there are issues in goal, the bigger issue is up front. They need less finesse and more grit. Guys who will go to the net, play hard along the walls, etc. Where are the Brouwers, Byfuglien's, Ladd's on this squad? Those guys had skill and grind.

From a graphic design standpoint, that looks like something that somebody whipped up in 10 minutes using all stock elements in Illustrator. Although from my experience in logo design processes, it's probably the result of a huge committee of people all giving input and one design firm that's dumbing everything down to make the logo that's least offensive to everyone, which turns out to be a lifeless, trite piece of garbage.

Alright, there is a little too much over zealousness here.

Why they're down:

I agree that Quenneville is getting painfully out-coached. Detroit is playing a perfect game to neutralize their team speed and the 'Hawks keep trying to win by using team speed. Um Q... why don't you try a style that is designed to counteract what Detroit is doing instead of pushing the same style that is not working? Get creative.

The stars are not shining. Toews, Hossa, Kane, and Sharp are visitant. Toews and Hossa being especially invisible.

Crawford is playing really well. You Crawford haters have way too high standards. He stopped 25 of 26 shots and had some BIG saves. Howard has just been standing on his head.

The non-interference calls are killer but does it matter? The Hawks are getting destroyed at the dot and their power-play is sooooooooooooooooooo bad.

I agree...... although as a Hawks fans on a Hawks blog, we are allowed to identify where they have gone wrong and declare what changes need to happen to right those wrongs. Most of us are just a little zealous and brash.

The changes need to start in the front office, but there are several of their "core" that need to be moved *cough* Bolland, *cough* Seabrook. Q is getting outcoached big time. This team just hasn't adapted to what Detroit is doing to them.
