Series with the Pens already has me at the Refs...After watching the B's carry the play for all but two periods in this Rangers series and the slanted calls I can just imagine how it's going to be with the NHL's favored son Crosby on the other side.

I wonder if Claude will dust off the game plan from the Vancouver series and have the play forced along the boards and then hit them early and often.

We can try, that's all we can do, I didn't give the Bruins much of a chance considering how they backed into the play offs.

Pitt$burgh series is gonna be premier offense with shaky goal tending vs premier defense with better goal tending, it should be interesting.

Since Vokoun took over he's got a 1.85GAA with .941SP. He's been spectacular.

With no due respect to the Rags.... How's the old saying go... They couldn't score in a Mexican whore house with a fist full of 50's.

Anyway... It's going to be a good series! Looking forward to it!

They got past the caps, you guys beat Ottawa (whose troubles scoring are well documented) and a beat up Habs squad.

Anywho, should be a good series, as I said it should be interesting.

Yeah, point taken. Our teams both beat toothless tigers in the 2nd round. I think it's pretty obvious that our first round opponents were much better teams.

As far as the caps go... Take them out of the southleast and they don't make the playoffs. I don't know the exact numbers but their record was horrible against the other playoff teams.

Interesting for sure. See you in a couple of days.

Just to be fair, and you didn't notice either, but the Pens beat the Isles in the first round not the Habs.

I think they gave you a little more than you were expecting too going 6 games.

islanders were a terrible match up. speed is the penguins weakness. we aren't built for that. had the leafs beaten you and beaten the rangers, the leafs would probably be going to the cup. we probably wouldn't beat them.

we are built PERFECTLY for you guys. this will be a fun series.

and in all seriousness, what does Vokoun have to do to earn respect in this league? had it not been for him, we would be golfing right now. he has over a .900 save %, less than a 2.00 GAA average, and has kept us in games. not sure what else he has to do to be considered a legitimate goaltender (I'm not singling anyone out, just a recurring theme so far)

we don't have the karma on our side though... have a feeling Jagr could kill us.

don't tell that to Campbell and his daddy.

penguins get no more special treatment than the bruins do champ. man up and lets have a real series instead of the belly aching we are bound to get from you guys every time a penguins does something you don't like.

I wouldn't worry too much about Jagr, he's been pretty unremarkable so far, he's had his chances but can't seem to finish.

When I said shaky goal tending I was referring more to MAF, Vokoun has been your saving grace so far this play offs, but you haven't really faced a forecheck like the Bruins can lay down. I agree this should be an interesting match up. I know the Bruins didn't beat the Pens in the regular season but you can throw that out in the play offs.

I wouldn't throw the regular season completely out, I would throw it out more because of how close it was. we could easily have lost 2 out of those games.

very close matchup.
