Everytime I open a Cloutier blog guaranteed there will be a mention/shot at the Canucks...why so consumed by Vancouver?

take it as a compliment. Same division. Van has been the best team in the division for a while. natural to want to see the Canucks fall, and enjoy it when it happens. Don't worry, eventually your team will be a bottom feeder, like all teams other than Detroit and no one will talk about them at all. Is that what you prefer?

There is some comedy going on Ecklunds "Brad Richard Buy Out thread". Pure Gold. So far I heard:
-Richards would sign for 2M with St.Louis because he wants a cup.
-Toronto has the inside track on sining Richards because "He feels bad about the way things went down prior to choosing the Rangers.

Personally. I think he's a good player. I doubt he would sign here Long term, but I would throw a few bucks his way to help us out...something like 2 years,9 Million. Pretty sure he'll get a much better offer elsewhere.

I wouldn't be opposed to signing him for the rumoured 3 years at 3 mill. I'd go up to 4. Lets us draft and develop a centre properly. Also allows us to trade gags for a dman.

He didnt have a terrible year points wise. Think he was still on pace for 60+. Certainly not worth his dollars, but he wouldnt hurt at the right price depending on where we we're at

Actually I could care less if other teams talk about vancouver especially bloggers...I guess I don't really think much about other teams just mine, i read the divisional blogs just to see what the thought is on the competition but I don't hope Edmonton fails (or succeeds) I only hope my team does well...

It is like playing golf...i care how I play not too concerned about my playing partners...would rather shoot an 80 and lose than a 90 and beat my foursome

7th + Gagner for 5th is too much Clouts.

Also, Krueger's system doesn't work for Gagner. Krueger's system demands centres that are good defensively. It may not have shown on the scoresheet, but look at the underlying stats.

This is one of those blogs where you find yourself scratching your head at what Clouts says. You can't write blogs for this long and know this little

Anybody's guess. Likely wants to back to a non hockey market. He's the type of vet we need. Badly. I'd overpay in the short term to be honest. Trade hemsky for a pick to clear space. Give Richards two or three years at 5 per.

If we leave free agency with bickell, stalberg and Richards I think we are a much more competitive team. Unlikely, but I can dream.

If the Rags were willing to move Staal for Gagner wouldn't you think the Oilers would have already made that deal? I would've if I were the Oilers GM. No doubt.

Which would be preferable.

Halls only problem is no one else can keep up to him. If they could he'd have some support.

- Iggysbff

Nuge'll bounce back big time. He played a pretty good season considering he had 1 shoulder and shot at 5.1% because of it

Wouldn't make sense. Lateral move. Fill one hole, open another. Only way we move a Hall, RNH, Yak, Eberle is if its a #1 Dman coming back. One for one. otherwise they stay.
- Iggysbff

never move hall. Tracking better than Tavares. Absolutely pushes the pace and elevates the games of those he plays with.

Are you kidding me? All of our problems nearly solved. We can then move Gagner+ for an upgrade on d with no worries about a gaping sweaty hole between the legs of Yak and Hall, and if we draft a C,he can play another year of Jr and a year or 2 of AHL hockey before becoming an Oiler.Mac T would be God like if he could pull that off.

I have no worries about RNH. anyone who does is gay and hasn't watched him play his rookie year.70+ points this year or a point per game.

Agreed.Fortunately, I'm pretty sure Mac T values him properly and isn't as much of a dummy as alot of posters.
