Ryder has ok speed. 6'0, 200.
Filppula has Elias-esque in speed, 6'0, 195.
Horton isn't as fast, but is a good skater 6'2, 230.
Stalberg is 6'3, 210 and fast.
Burmistrov is really fast, but just 6'1, 180.
out of the 5 of them, Stalberg is by far the worst in the postseason. 4 points in 19 games. Horton is the best at 26 pts in 31 games, +25. Filppula has 56 in 101 games, +14. Ryder is decent 45pts in 75 games. obviously Burmistrov hasn't played in the posteason.
i'd say Filppula is most like Elias in terms of vision. Horton is just a hard working big body that can also shoot the puck. Burmistrov has great speed and hands and sees the ice well. Ryder can score, but not the most creative. Stalberg is just an all around good player, but not spectacular. Would probably come cheap... better than D'Ags?
Ryder is 33, 9 seasons, 7 playoffs, 1 Cup with Boston.
Filppula is 29, 7 full seasons +4 game rookie season. 7 playoffs, 2 Finals, 1 Cup.
Horton is 27, 9 seasons, some injuries (concussions), 2 full playoffs including a Cup.
Stalberg is 27, 3.5 seasons (including 40g rookie season in Tor.) played 7g and 6g in the previous 2 post seasons.. and a healthy scratch in some games this year.
Burmistrov just 21, 3 full seasons. 28pts in 76g, +4 was his best, last year.
or.. we could just sign Iginla for 15mil/3 years!
who do you think Lou will land? I highly doubt we pull a trade for Ryan.
What Blues' fans say about McDonald is enough to put the X on him.
Boston will probably keep Horton. Montreal will probably keep Ryder.
Burmistrov is just an RFA.
Stalberg may be let go.
Detroit really can't afford to lose a productive player in his prime.
who do you want? and who do you think we could possibly get? |
