what would be my dream for the offseason is to get guys like latendresse and trade for the rights off clutterbuck, the roster would than be:
kreider-stepan-callahan
latendresse-brassard-nash
hagelin-miller-clutterbuck
pyatt-boyle-dorsett
Mcd-girardi
staal-moore
DZ-stralman(maybe trade Del zotto for as mich as you can get and give his spot to Mcilrath)
that roster combined with bringing in Brian Leetch for the PP and i can't help but wondering how Messier would look like as head coach.
offcourse buy-out richards
and although i like zucc he is too small for the style this team needs to play. - webleedblue
I like both of the plaeyrs you mentioned, but I don't think your lineup has enough offense in it. Plenty of jam, but not enough goals.

Things look bleak but I'm still keeping the faith, gotta come out Thursday and get a quick goal and keep the Garden rocking. Don't want to lose on our home ice.
As far as the offseason I want to reserve judgement until after this season is officially over and concentrate on getting a win Thursday, so ill wait until then. However, some of the players you guys are talking about would be good additions, I like Bogosian especially. Tough guy and a big shot. |

rags are against the cap next year already, with 9 roster players up for contracts. That 6.5 mil hit for wade redden is still there next year too. NY is F'd. - 77emac77

I wanted to trade Kreider for him earlier this year, and you guys literally told me "no" (except for you Jim). I would have had it done. |

latendresse has scored 27 goals in a season so he can score.
kreider can be a star when given the chance to play, stepan has shown it, cally, brassard, hagelin and offcourse nash. and miller has offense as well, i think this team can be deadly |

Maybe, but alot of question marks, as well. Latendresse hasn't played much the last few years. kreider? Who knows with him? He bust out, or he may just be a bust. But, the clock is ticking. I love Hags, but think he is a 20 goal type player. Miller is a young prospect, so there will be question marks until he proves it at the pro level.
I like the team you put together. You just need to find me one more guy that can put the puck in the net. |

I love the fantasy roster. Not having our 1st round pick for the next 100 years would suck, but oh well!

Problem with he east is it is filled with stars. Ovi, Malkin, Crosby, Giroux, Tavares, Stamkos. Rangers can use an elite player

Depends on what you refer to elite as. Nash is a good player. I wouldn't say elite

Well, you said that the Rangers can use an elite player. Then you named 6 elite players. Now, you are telling me that "elite player" means Top 5 in the league. So, presumably, not even all the players you named are elite. And, there would be no way for the Rangers to get an elite player, without trading for one of the players on your list, since only the Top 5 players are elite.
But, even putting that aside, I take issue with your statement that everyone that is not a Top 5 player in the league is merely "good", insofar as that statement is franking stupid.
And for what its worth, I don't think John Tavares is a Top 5 player in the league yet. But, I think he is elite. |
