Shot in the dark and I have done zero research but any chance Columbus buys out Dubinski he hits the market. I would go 2.5 to 3 for him.

I think Columbus likes Dubinsky, they have plenty of cap space, I don't think so.

I'll take that deal right now for him. He is better than most people think.

Yeah, on second thought, I agree with that.

Edit: And I know you disagree, but if it weren't for the injury risk, I would just keep Richards for next year. Hope he bounces back, and then he would either help you, or maybe even could become tradeable (if he really has a great year). I realize, none of this is likely.

As of right now it's a stacked market, Bergeron is also available, there is certainly going to be maneuvering by a lot of teams in the next coming year

Richards isn't tradeable

even if the miracle happened and the Rangers found a taker for that contract, Richards would invoke his NMC. He would say if you don't want me, buy me out, and then I'll sign with any team I want to.

I think the only team right now that would be willing to trade for Brad Richard's contract would be the Anaheim Angels, but they'd want us to take Pujols in return.

Michael Del Zotto has been on the ice for the last six Bruins goals in this series.

They got Gaborik to waive. It's possible, especially if he feels any pang of guilt for robbing the organization. But, you're right it is highly, highly unlikely.

I would say you can trade him to a team that can absorb the hit, but doesn't want to pay real salary, but he still makes crazy real money from years 4-6 of the deal, before dropping to basically nothing in years 7-9.

He probably can't be traded without the Rangers retaining significant salary, even if he waives. So, it will be a buy-out. I still think the potential exists that he could help next year, but its huge risk.

We can't trade Richards for our own sake. Why you ask? Cap Re-Capture goes into effect even if the player is traded. We trade him, and all of a sudden he retires and we have $5M a year on the books. No way we can let that happen. Buy him out and do it now before he gets hurt ala Drury.

God, I have to get used to a whole new damn set of rules now! Just need to buy him out. The only question for debate is do you do it this year or take the risk and do it next?

Great skater. Real slick hands. I don't get why he hasn't been more productive. Depends on the price, I guess.

yeah, Burmistrov's problem is that he hasn't panned out offensively yet but defensively he is already considered really good.

Plays center ice, however. That would give the Rangers three similar type centerman -- playmakers first. Need to get some wingers who could put the puck in the net to take advantage of those attributes. Also, that would probably mean moving Miller to wing.

I'm ok with this to see how it pans out. Getting him would significantly change my view of the roster...

Miller to wing could work. Aside from Nash and Step you can scramble the other top 9 for a blend of D and scoring.

Maybe, and this is a stretch, he blossoms away from the team that drafted him, similar to Brassard. But the Rangers getting lucky twice like that is unlikely

If the Rangers call about Burmistrov, they should ask about Bogosian as well.
