TJ, I partially agree with you. Mcilrath needs to be our Matt Greene or Adam Mcquaid. The Rangers don't have true power forward. That is something that needs to be drafted. |

Bs are also fast skilled and deep. Bergeron, Seguin, Lucic, Krechi, etc. etc. Their 4th liners are faster and paly with skill and energy. - mrhattrick27
Yea, it just shows you how much we actully need. And how far off we really are
I think we overachieved big time last year and we are paying for it now.

Getting clowe was a great idea, but him getting hurt killed us. He at least provided some semblance of intimidation out there.

I'm just saying that size wins in the playoffs. We're are get manhandled vs the Bs. We have enough skill guys that are small. We have no intimidation factor whatsoever. Not at forward or on D. The kings are huge. Bs are huge. Size matters - jambodelta99
I agree with you, I don't know about sacrificing Zucc though. If the Rangers made it past the Bruins I would see them having trouble with the Kings, even the Sharks. Rangers need to get bigger, not just size, but size with snarl. I know it costs the Rangers another 2nd rounder but I think keeping Clowe is a must as long as he fully heals. Hopefully Mcllrath is ready to go next year and there is some beef for the back end. I keep Boyle, keep Clowe and add at least another big strong winger. Playoffs are about grinding. You need skill yes but you need big guys to battle. |

Also to add, I think they do need to add a big shot for the point but not a pylon who can just shoot. They are hard to find, hopefully it doesn't cost them too much. |

I'd love to keep zucc. Just that with Stepan, Callahan, hagelin, brassard, miller around its tough. Not much size and toughness in that group. Nash isn't really a grinder either.
We got seriously pushed around big time in this series |

NYR's Brad Richards got just 5 minutes and 58 seconds of even-strength ice time tonight. Only Aaron Asham (4:25) had fewer ES minutes.
12 million dollar waste. |

Miller and Krieder taking a big step up next year will really help this team out. Both in goal scoring and with the cap |

Is what it is. When they signed him it made a ton if sense. It's like arod, some guys just all the sudden lose it. Get old. Get hurt. Whatever the reason
Richards isn't here much longer, so I guess that the bright side |

nope therrein was. bylsma was hired feb. 09.
bylsma seems like a great coach, but he really mismanages his lines which hurts us. |

In this series we have been pounded physically. Bad matchup surprisingly. Thought they would smoke the bruins. This team needs a major overhaul. Start with the coach! |

The lack of size we have is severely exposed this series . Especially tonight.

If they get kocked out this round they will have three 3rd round picks. Need a goalie and a couple of power forwards. |

his 12 million dollar salary this year includes the signing bonus. If you click the ? icon next to NHL Salary, it says that. If the Signing bounus was a seperate entity, Richards contract would 9 years 83 million. It's only 9 years 60 million.
Edit: I'm sorry, if you include his total signing bonus, his contract would 9 years 88 million, making his annual cap hit 9.78 million dollars. So he's only a 12 million dollar waste. |

If Brad Richards has a pulse and I believe he does, I think anyway. I've played the way I have all season long and let the team down, tonight after everything calmed down or tomorrow morning I call a team meeting and say my peace about my play and that i can still help this team and then go to Tortorella and say I can do this, put me back in for regular minutes on the top line I'm gonna help lead this team to a victory and extend our season Thursday. Just like with Chris Kreider, Richards is not a guy who should be on the 4th line. Does he deserve to be there? Absolutely. But with him making the money he makes and supposedly being a leader of this team, now is when you have to forget how crappy you've been and lay it all on the line for one game and help get this team a victory. |
