I will say that as I remember 90% or more thought he was a great fit at least for the first 4 or 5 years of his deal. I was one of them. I don't think anyone really expected this though. And because even last year he was pretty good if not great, I'd give him another shot. He has performed when it matters. This year has been an utter

haha I understand picking Ottawa or the islanders against us, but you'd rather see Boston?!!? god you must really hate us haha.

but in all seriousness, penguins gotta take care of business first, but the ECF will be a good series. Penguins haven't lost in Boston for 2 years I think... we have really had their number these past years.

rangers are an interesting team. will be interesting to see what they do this offseason.

- SuperHenderson13

Don't want to see the team that beats the Rangers win it all. So if it's the Pens against Boston, as much as it pains me to type this, Go Pens.

Can't even get excited about the draft this year, Rangers have no picks til round 3. Going to be a boring offseason I think

Gotta bring up Jimbo's point though, if he gets hurt next season then there is a chance you can't buy him out. Why Redden didn't stick around this year. That risk is to great for someone who could be one the books til 2020

I was one of the masses that loved Richards coming here. I was also the idiot that claimed Richards would turn it around come playoff time.

I smell a trade for Yandle, maybe it's me just hoping, but I think the Rangers make a move.

Our D is fine. We need Offense at the forward position

I know they suck, but we have no size as it is. I think Boyle and pyatt have actully been better in the playoffs. But with that said, it isn't saying much or I mean

I was the same way, the way the deal was made before the lockout...it was setup to be a 6 year deal with the last 3 years being chunk change. I thought he would last at least 4-5 of those years.

what size shirt do you wear for your new Crosby shirt?

but in all seriousness, plenty of guys to root for on the pens if you don't like the usual suspects. guys like iginla are easy guys to root for from a hockey perspective.

I am trying to be optimistic it just bothers me such a big game like tonight to see that kind of effort. Hank stood on his head and unfortunately got a bad bounce to lose. I hope these guys come to play Thursday. Season on the line, hoping for a turnaround.

They don't have a point man running the power play. They need that more than they need anything else, personnel-wise.

Defensively Yandle is equivalent or slightly better than Del Zotto anyway. Offensively, it's not even close. I am just speculating but a deal of this ilk needs to be made; that power play is a flat out disgrace.

His fall was rapid, last year he was better than average. This year he just seems lost, not mention slower than sh!t.

Rangers look like their getting pushed around. Clowe would have been so huge for the Rangers, I was so happy when they got him. It's a shame he couldn't be in the lineup to help.

another person I talked with about this exact situation said NYR wouldnt buy him out and likely trade to trade him to a team that needs center help (TOR was hot on him 2 summers ago)

but either A) not sure who wants what he has left and is willing to take on that contract

or B) rangers will probably have to eat a good portion of the cap hit in a trade

also, worst possible time to try and trade richards after a terrible year with the cap going down

I know. I honestly don't think it would matter who the coach was this series. The bruins are just bigger and badder
