Anybody think there is a chance Lundqvist gets tired of playing for the Rangers and signs with the Brooklyn bound Isles after next year? Man that would be dandy.
Not gonna happen though, I think he is a lifelong Ranger. The guy is all heart but somehow I have to think he is getting sick of putting up huge efforts only to lose because of the lack of heart by some of his teammates. He could sign with the Isles and not have to leave his current Manhattan apartment.

you read my mind i had the same thought last night

That means this boat has been hauling in fish and pink snapper for over 15 years

I hate to see it go but its time for some other lucky guy to take this boat down to tuna town

NBC's announcers are all over the Rangers right now. They clearly have it in for Torts. Maybe there's validation in the NBC reporters' rants, but it seems like they're particularly harsh on the Rags and Torts.

How many minutes after the Rags are eliminated, do you think Torts lasts?

I guess it depends on who is available for the Rags if they let Torts go. Who they bringing in if they fire Torts? Ruff? I don't think Torts is a bad coach. I think his system is too defensive for a team like the Rangers, who have a lot of guys up front who have offensive ability and an all-world goaltender that can bail out a team that takes some chances in the offensive end. Maybe if Torts loosened the reins on the forwards and let them get more creative and risky, the Rangers would score more.

Might sound crazy, but I don't think that series is over just yet. Even the Bruins' coach was talking about how the team can be "Jeckyl and Hyde." Wouldn't surprise me at all if the Rangers catch the Bruins taking a typical nap and roar back in game four; then get some confidence and take game 5 as well. From there, it goes back to MSG and anything can happen, though I still think the Bruins will eventually close it out.

Not to be a d**k, but is the guy telling you about the Cappy extension the same guy who told you that the Isles weren't leaving Nassau and wouldn't move to Brooklyn under any circumstance other than a short-term arrangement?
- Jethro09

its not... But if Ratner wins the NVMC rebuild.... it will be a very short stay in Brooklyn
